I eventually picked up a TG-16 mini console and experienced it that way, but it wasn't all I was hoping it would be. It needed a huge dose of variety in its dungeons and more challenge to be something special, but as it stands, it's fairly mediocre. Other games like it are better experiences in exploration. It'd be a great intro game to this genre, but if you're seasoned in this genre, it might feel a bit flat. π

Much of the allure comes from strange alien worlds with stranger creatures, and plots built upon interesting science that weaves these concepts together very nicely. I've edited semi-repetitive parts out so you can get a feel for all sections of this mightily long tune, and I did my best with the editing tool on this site.
Sorry for the lack of CRT visuals in this one. The screen stays blank, so enjoy Dracula from Castlevania IV's vinyl sleeve instead.
