In this part, Phoenix points out that the witness could not have seen the victim being head-butted to death, because of an obstruction. DePlume presents a book that she wrote about the whale. One year ago, the whale killed its trainer in a similar incident.
DePlume gives a testimony. Athena uses her mood matrix to analyze the testimony. She was quite scared when she saw the head-butt. She remembers the source of her fear was a large amount of blood. The blood disappeared when the whale put on the hat. Phoenix concludes the blood belonged to Orla, not the victim.
Phoenix asks to have the security footage played back in full. Nothing happens in the ten minutes before DePlume enters the scene. Since the victim did not enter the tank at this time, Phoenix concludes the victim's dead body was placed in the tank earlier. Phoenix shares his theory that the murder weapon was a bag of coins.
