In this video I do a copy of a pen and ink self-portrait by : Kollwitz, and then see if I can apply what I've learned by doing a drawing of my own.
Copying master drawings is a powerful learning tool, giving you deep insights into the working methods of brilliant artistic minds, but the learning process is supercharged if you apply what you've learned by doing a drawing in the style of the master you copied. I highly recommend it!
I'm using a Montblanc 344G fountain pen, filled with Noodlers black and working on hot-press watercolor of an unknown brand.
