To commemorate the 100th year anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele (third battle of Ypres starting on July 31st 1917) during World War 1, and those who bravely gave their lives for our freedom, we were asked to represent the British Rally Championship at the Menin Gate's Last Post ceremony whilst competing on the Ypres Rally 2017.

"After 105 days of some of the most horrific trench warfare of the conflict, the Allies finally recaptured the village of Passchendaele – but by then around a third-of-a-million British and Allied soldiers had been killed.."

This was a honour and a privilege for myself and Elliott to pay our respects and it also reminds us what a very special place Ypres is and the kind people of the area who welcome us with open arms every year to compete on their fantastic rally
