The District Vanguard is a digital magazine dedicated to elevating the work of Black artists and designers in and from the Greater Washington, DC area. Founded by Eden Elam (MFA Transdisciplinary Design '23) and Shadé Reneé Fleming (BFA Product Design, 16), the publication features artist profiles, guest essays, and hosts community events in service of elevating DC's creative community.
