Slightly later than we planned, it's time for another complete paint job, this time of the Hobby Boss 1/35th scale Leopard VK1602 (Paper Panzer) tank. Called Build and Paint, these longer films show most principle steps in one single longer video. This time, we are continuing to experiment with adding a running commentary: let us know if you think it works. There are still the text slates up to see, so if you don’t like the commentary or music, you can switch it off.
The kit, is great and went together well. The plastic tracks are a right pain however. We customised it a bit and added our own touches like some aftermarket smoke canisters and WW2 German antennas from Riich Model.
Watch the build and all of the paint stages. We used Lifecolor acrylic products in the main, with some weathering painting done with Wilder enamel washes.
As it's a national holiday here in the UK, why not sit back, grab a drink and watch pretty much everything we did to get the final finish.
