VIOLENT tornado near Eldorado, Oklahoma CFproductions 2024-05-28 | On May 23, 2024 we witnessed what was undoubtedly a violent tornado in southwest Oklahoma near the town of Eldorado. After starting and spending a majority of the day in northwest Oklahoma, hoping that storms would materialize there, we soon realized that they wouldn't and decide to drive south to the ongoing storms. It would take two hours to make the drive and the storm was already ongoing so we were just hoping that if the storm were going to produce a tornado it would wait until we got there. For the most part the storm did wait, until about 25 minutes before our arrival when it became very clear when looking at radar that a tornado was about to form. Soon thereafter we received reports from other storm chasers who were already on the storm that a strong tornado was on the ground and was getting even stronger. To try and cut our arrival time down we decided to take a shortcut that brought us through the core of the storm. Luckily for us (and our rental car) we didn't encounter any hail and when we popped out on the other side we witnessed the tornado churning towards us. The tornado went through many visibly different phases throughout it's entire life and for the part that we witnessed. The tornado also had numerous radar trucks recording data on the tornado, with one of which recording peak wind gusts over 200 miles per hour just above the ground indicating that this was a violent tornado. Canadas ONLY F5 Tornado CFproductions 2024-05-16 | On June 22, 2007 a historic tornado would touch down in the Canadian province of Manitoba. The extremely slow moving tornado touched down just to the northwest of the town of Elie. The tornado took it's sweet time meandering towards town, traveling in one of the most bizarre paths ever seen. Along with the bizarre path of the tornado, it moved at the astonishingly slow speed of 10 MPH (16 KPH). After being on the ground for roughly 30 minutes the tornado finally impacted town with ferocious intensity. Days after the tornado moves through a survey begins to document the tornadoes path and finds immense damage in town with one house that has been completely sweep away with only the foundation remaining. This looks to be F5 damage but there is doubt among the surveyors because of the tornadoes incredibly slow forward speed. The F5 Tornado That Almost Hit TWO Nuclear Bombs CFproductions 2024-02-23 | On April 26, 1991 a volatile severe weather setup presented itself across the central and southern U.S. plains. A rare high risk for thunderstorms and tornadoes was issued by the Storm Prediction Center on the day prior. The day itself would live up to the hype with dozens of tornadoes touching down including the Andover, Kansas F5 tornado. The tornado would be notable for numerous reasons including the fact that it almost hit two separate nuclear bombs. The tornado would end up claiming 17 lives and would leave it's mark on the land and the people forever. TORNADO PALOOZA - May 17, 2019 CFproductions 2023-11-17 | May 17, 2019 marked the beginning of a historic and prolonged severe weather outbreak over the central United States. This also just so happened to be the first day of my first ever chase trip that I was conducting. The main risk on this day was centered in Nebraska (which did verify as the McCook tornadoes) but a smaller and lower risk area was evident in western Oklahoma and Kansas. Seeing as this was the only spot we could get to as we landed in Oklahoma City around noon, it was a no brainer decision of where to go, it was just a matter of if it would happen there. We had the wait for a few hours as storms struggled to break the cap but once a storm got through it started producing tornadoes within about 20 minutes. All and all of this remarkable chase day we say at least four tornadoes before we had to abandon the storm to return to Oklahoma City. The storm would continue to produce tornadoes after we left the storm and well into the night as well as producing one of the most signature radar presentations of that year.

DUSTY Oklahoma Supercell - June 15, 2023 CFproductions 2023-11-01 | On June 15, 2023 a highly volatile severe weather day was evident across portions of Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. There was a strong risk for all hazards including tornadoes. Unfortunately for us, after initially targeting the correct area to begin with, the decision making of the chase began to fall apart. We first got baited from our original spot by a new storm that developed to our southeast. After trying to catch up to that for a while we got cut off and almost instantly it began producing tornadoes once we were separated. At the same time more tornadoes were occurring at the original target area of northeast Texas. Towards the end of the day we made a last ditch effort and went after a lone supercell that we thought would become the next tornado producer but as the luck of the day would have it, it never amounted to much. Even with all this disappointment of the day our lone supercell still produced gorgeous scenes of dust being kicked up and a stunning sunset. Moral of the story is that not ever storm chase can go perfectly and not everybody is perfect. RING OF FIRE ECLIPSE - Full Annular Eclipse Time-lapse - October 14, 2023 CFproductions 2023-10-17 | On October 14, 2023 there was an annular eclipse that traversed much of the west and central United States. An annular eclipse is a type of solar eclipse where the moon is slightly further away from Earth than normal so when I crossed in front of the sun it is not big enough to cover the full thing like it would in a total solar eclipse. During an annular eclipse, because the moon doesn't fully cover up the sun you get an astounding "ring of fire" display. I documented this eclipse in northeast Arizona and was right on the center line of the path giving this incredible view of the eclipse. Enjoy!
AMAZINGLY Blue Colorado Supercell - June 11, 2023 CFproductions 2023-09-29 | On June 11, 2023 another round of severe weather was forecasted to develop, this time in southeast Colorado, northeast New Mexico and parts of west Texas and Oklahoma. There was also a two percent chance of a tornado added by the SPC on this date as well. We had a long drive to our target and arrived to a storm that had already been going on for quite some time. The storm immediately looked very interesting from a photographers standpoint but not so much for someone who is looking for tornadoes. As the storm progressed it began to grow more menacing with an amazing blue color developing in the hail core of the storm. Right as the storm was getting to it's peak strength of the day we entered into an area of Colorado that has canyons and almost zero roads and is regarded as one of the worst places to chase by other chasers. Because of this we had to somewhat abandon the storm when at it's peak strength for a couple of hours in order to get back in front of it. By the time our detour had finally been complete the storm was still severe warned but obviously not quite as strong as it was a few hours prior. Nonetheless the storm still provided amazing scenes of structure and lightning into the night. Hours later and little to our knowledge another storm had formed back in New Mexico and was heading towards our hotel in the very early hours of the morning. Finally at 4 AM the new storm hit our hotel pelting the hotel with wind driven golf ball sized hail in which was one of the most unexpected, but cool, moments I've ever experienced in my chasing career.
