Food for thought, there are more than 20 reactors operating currently in the US that are the exact design of the Fukhshiva reactors. It is a flawed design, they keep their waste on site....above ground. I understand WIPP and Yucca Mtn. put it all in some ones back yard, but it has to be isolated. It's infuriating that the top scientists in the world that engineered this monster went ahead, full bore, with absolutely no idea, plan or care for the waste they knew was deadly for hundreds of thousands of years. Time after time its bail out money from the taxpayers that pays for the cleanup....who also paid the nuclear power industry Billions for "too cheap to regulate" power, in profits. They took the money, they left the mess, and its a big mess folks.....tons more waste produced every day, adds up.The situation at Fukushima is an extinction level event, its just a slow one. Meanwhile people are getting sick and dying from cancer caused directly from the generation of nuclear power, we also pay for that. to paraphrase Uncle Albert, re nuclear power "its a hell of a way to boil water", there is a better way, we just need the will to demand it.

Gotta love Colorado! We are very close to the actual start of the fire, started by a scorned female firefighter, apparently burning love letters..... in the video I said one match, the investigation states that it was two matches.... burned 132 thousand acres of our backyard. In fact, after it was known who started the fire (she was a forest service worker and firefighter) they had to post police at her home to keep the locals from burning it down.... Please be safe with fire, it takes decades to rebuild the forests.

Again nothing to fear, just posting for information. There is a lot of funky earth changes going on, add human factors and anything is possible. Right now the "hot" spots that need to be monitored are anyone near Hanford, WIPP, Downwind of the Nevada test site and anyone within 50km of a reactor (small university or hospital ones too) Look into what is called the "Wigner Effect" Let me know in the comments if you want to know how to do testing on your own. It is designed to ensure an unchanging procedure for decommissioning reactors at the plant.The DPJ says the radioactive wastewater situation at the plant is worsening. The party says there is a limit to having TEPCO singlehandedly address the aftermath of the nuclear accident because the process has huge costs. It adds the current approach might face a deadlock sooner or later.The DPJ suggests TEPCO be split up and a new organization established to focus on decommissioning reactors, including tackling radioactive water.The group says the state and TEPCO should jointly fund the decommissioning body. Parts include the following: (death in 20 seconds with waste)TEPCO's water purification plan faces difficultiesThe operator of the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant says it will purify all the radioactive water at the site by March 2015.But observers say that won't be easy.Tokyo Electric Power Company said Thursday there's a total of 440,000 tons of contaminated water in the basement of the turbine buildings and in storage tanks. The utility says there's another 15,000 tons in tunnels under the compound.Containing the radioactive water was the main issue Prime Minister Shinzo Abe discussed with TEPCO on Thursday during his visit to the plant.The utility plans to install 2 more water treatment devices in addition to one now in place. But its trial run is currently on hold because of damage caused by corrosion.One of the two additional devices is a high performance model. TEPCO hopes the three devices will enable it to treat 1,500 tons of water a day. That's 3 times the present rate.But the water-treatment devices cannot remove tritium, a radioactive isotope of hydrogen.TEPCO also has a plan to release clean groundwater into the ocean before it is contaminated by the facilities area. It's actually very homogenous and uniform when you look at it under the microscope. And it doesn't look like the surrounding soils. And it is much more intensely radioactive than any other soil or dust sample we've gotten from around Fukushima Daiichi. So this material is different. It's not a natural soil. There's something unusual happening with this stuff. [...] The sample had fairly high levels of radium 226. Now that's not a radioisotope that we hear as much about. The radium 226 has almost as much activity as the radioactive Cesium in the sample. Radium 226 is a degradation product of uranium and we can't really detect the uranium directly. [...] And this tells me that this particle contains not only fission waste products from the reactor but very likely contains a concentrated unburned nuclear fuel. And that's unusual. This sample had by far the highest level of uranium daughters that we've seen in a dust or soil sample. We're actually seeing material that might well have come from inside a failed fuel assembly. AG: Okay. When I hear that, that's clear evidence that the containment was breached. The interesting thing to me is that when I hear black, I think of like algae or fungi or something like that. But you're saying this is not an organic substance. Is that right? K: No. It's not an organic substance. It's a mixture of very small particles and just the way they aggregate gives it the appearance of being black, but it's -- it probably -- I won't say optical illusion, but it's an optical effect of the size of the particles and the way they're joined together. The Great Florissant Sinkhole 80000 Gallons of Precious Colorado Water Wasted MrJMccammon - Second Nature Colorado 2013-05-09 | Six years running with water main issues every winter, recording in background is call we got from water company in Jan 2013 (took two weeks to respond)....We were denied service because "the main was not frozen" we had to spend $7500 to install cistern so I could have water during my cancer treatments, our neighbors have been without water for 4 months and when there was water, it was, no lie ...the color of tea or coffee, and the water district was indeed fined for water quality after samples were finally tested.Last year they flooded my basement and did $7500 damage.Yesterday the water main that was "not frozen" burst and poured 80,000 gallons of water into my driveway and washed away part of our foundation, our stairs and piled up 3 feet of mud against the house. we Live on a cliff so foundation is kinda important.it took Three State agencies over three hours to find someone from the Florissant Water District to shut the line Down, so actual loss of water much higher than 80k.
