Broomstick Thomas (in D Major) DemonOfNowhere 2023-12-23 | * Seasons’ greetings friends,I had some big plans for my Christmas. You see, I had wanted to make a full story for you all. There was a nearly-finished script and everything! And Toby was there, but I couldn’t figure out what he was doing there. Unfortunately, I never got to know, because Father Christmas sent an early gift my way: COVID-19. In exchange, he took my voice, my motivation, and a few other things. I have been most upset about that. However, in some ways, that dilemma has proven somewhat poetic. Thomas hadn’t been feeling too happy either, which is unusual for our tank engine around this time of year. Like me, he had arrangements made for Christmas, but even those arrangements fell through – he didn’t collect the tree for the big station, or the carollers from Ffarquhar! The Fat Controller gave Thomas a new coat of paint to cheer him up. The colours he chose are colours you may be familiar with, but all the same, Thomas didn’t feel much winter spirit. “Well,” said Edward when he heard the news, “we can’t have that. Listen, all,” he beckoned around Tidmouth Sheds, waking Gordon from his sleep, and interrupting James’s boasting, “this is what we’ll do…”And here we are. A short and stumpy video, for our favourite short and stumpy tank engine. It mightn’t be the video I had wanted, and perhaps it wasn’t the video you were all expecting either, but I’ve done my best to make do and perhaps you’ll like it for what it is. A Little Engine Called Edward DemonOfNowhere 2021-05-13 | Dear friends,It has been seventy-six years since the first book about our engines came out. While seventy-six may not appear to be a very important number, I believe it is. There is no hiding from what the future holds for "Thomas & Friends", and it upsets me greatly that such a wonderful world has been horribly mistreated by a corporate sham. In October, their new version of the television series comes out, and I'm certainly not looking forward to it.But I'm not here to complain about the future, I'm here to look back on these marvellous engines you and I call friends. They are still hard at work, and proving themselves a credit to their island every day. Edward, in particular, is doing a splendid job.We all like Edward, and with good reason. Railway of Nowhere - Don’t Forget DemonOfNowhere 2021-04-10 | Greetings friends,I finished my class assignments early, so I went to visit Thillwick. Audrey and Evelyn were rather happy to see me."Are ya doing another one of your videos?" asked Evelyn. I thought for a moment. I had already made "The Legend", and that was meant to be the first anniversary episode for "Railway of Nowhere". However, I smiled and looked at the engines."Well... I suppose I could. What do you two have for me?"I didn't really know what there was to share with you all. "The Legend" has seemingly set the bar rather high, so I knew this had to be a good one. I cannot guarantee this is particularly action-packed, but in my eyes it doesn't have to be. Our engines have very different adventures compared to the engines of Sodor, but I think they hold their own merit. I've always been fond of Audrey and Evelyn, and the adventures they have are truly special, much like their railway. There's nothing quite like it, and I'm very glad to tell their stories.For this episode, I'd like to thank LittleEngineProductions for his help. Young children are not an audience of this video.Before we get into the more general description, I think it is important to mention the big reboot announced for Series 25.I am not particularly impressed, to say the least! I could go on for ages why but, in short, the problem is how they're going to treat the characters and world. Every story focusing on Thomas is plain ridiculous, and more 'expressive movements' are the last thing we needed. I was a bit less harsh on BWBA, because it still gave the other characters time to shine. It still focused on the world of Sodor (most of the time...!).But now it seems like it's all... gone. All the dignity and pride of Thomas the Tank Engine is gone, and that upsets me.So, what to do? It's not like I can go waltzing up to Mattel HQ and demand them to change things. Sure, I can grumble all I want (I think a few people muted me on Twitter recently!), but I wanted to do something more.I began thinking about it a bit. At the same time, I began listening to songs by the band Go! Child, which is amazing if you ask me!Then, a few nights after the reboot revealed, I woke up in bed and said 'WAIT A SECOND! JUST COMBINE THESE THINGS TOGETHER YA DUMB-DUMB!'So, here we are.Where you stand on this reboot is completely up to you, I'm not wanting to enforce an opinion on other people after all. If you're waiting to see the results, that's very fair! Personally, I just cannot see the benefit of all these changes. That Thomas design alone made me very upset. As someone who grew up surronded by these stories, I just could not bring myself to look at that promo and say 'Yup. This is fine'.So, in my usual fashion, I made a video about it. But I didn't want this to be short and sad, I wanted it to perhaps serve as a reminder of how lucky we are to have Thomas. No matter where the show goes next, we'll always have this beautiful world to look back to.After hearing the lyrics in these songs, I felt like perhaps a lot of them could be applied to Thomas. To how he grew, to how he changed, to how he's become. Therefore, I spent three days working on this! Sure, it's not an original story, but I think it's a very important video to share right now.So yes! Go check out Go! Child, they only have two albums right now, but bloody hell they are wonderful. However; they are referred to as their names they will gain 50 years after this story: Chara and Frisk. Yup, these are the Undertale characters in the TTTE universe. I have written several stories about them, but I’m afraid I do not plan on making audio stories for them.
