These videos mark the starting point for my self-taught exploration of my favorite instruments: the accordion and harpsichord.

I discovered the harpsichord 2 years ago and enjoy playing and learning about the instrument more than the piano. As someone who loves dynamic music, playing an instrument (that has no dynamic capabilities) has allowed me to see the finer techniques that I've underappreciated. This massive constraint has taught me how to truly express with timing.

[For the record: I believe the bayan accordion with free base is far superior to this piano accordion with stradella base. I do plan to transition to bayan eventually. The left hand (base notes) on this piano accordion is limited to one octave of notes and one octave of chords. In contrast the bayan accordion has 3 octaves of base notes. A MASSIVE DIFFERENCE. I found some ways to simulate two octaves in the base but nothing compared to what a free base would sound.]
