Black MIDI - Undertale - Your Best Nightmare - 8,929,320 NotesZachary Garlick2016-12-24 | I've never actually played Undertale before, but I really enjoy the final boss music. This is my own arrangement so it might deviate from the original a bit. I used several FL Studio Plugins that I had not tried before, and I quite like the sounds that I was able to get. It’s a bit late, as it’s a bit Halloween-ish, but I hope you all still enjoy it! I will possibly provide a MIDI Version sometime in the future.Armageddon to Archaeopteryx and Icaria 5 SimlifiedZachary Garlick2022-10-27 | AtAaI 5 was originally written by a person called "Crystal Titanium" and (for now) is unobtainable. Therefore, this arrangement was written totally by ear on my part, so hopefully I got all right.
The video was generated with PipiraMine’s Ultra-Light Black MIDI player, and edited with Camtasia Studio. The audio was rendered using Keppy’s MIDI Converter. The soundfont used is Z-Doc’s Grand Piano Soundfont with added effects.

(Yet) It's been quite a while hasn't it? I've gotten interested in music and Black MIDIs again, so I decided to simplify the other compositions in the original Armageddon to Archaeopteryx and Icaria series.
As of late I have been working a lot on traditional scoring rather than Black MIDIs, though I still hope to perhaps make some new Black MIDIs in the future.
You can also find the MuseScore files by searching for my name on MuseScore.
For those who are are going to ask, the soundfont used is the Arachno General MIDI soundfont. The sheet music seen in the video was recorded from MuseScore3, and the falling notes were recorded from Synthesia. The background was created using recordings from PipiraMine's Ultralight Black MIDI player, a program that I have found very useful. The audio was rendered using Keppy's MIDI Converter, another very useful program. The video was edited and produced with Camtasia Studio.Apocalypse Ultimate Audio Only (Download Link in Description)Zachary Garlick2017-12-14 | This has been requested before by a commenter, and I did provide a link to a MIDI that contains only melody data, but I've decided to make a more accurate "audio only" MIDI. It took way longer than I thought it would, as I had a lot of tracks to sort through. Hopefully, if you're trying to make a video of Apocalypse Ultimate, this MIDI will help you with the audio, as rendering the audio of the original MIDI file doesn't yield... the best results.
I think I'd like to do either a video or a live stream of me opening the original FLP file for Apocalypse Ultimate and sorting through it. I think that might be interesting. Let me know in the comments if you'd be interested in that.
I'd also like to quickly thank all of my new subscribers! I really appreciate your interest in my content!Apocalypse Ultimate - 81,026,464 NotesZachary Garlick2017-08-26 | Well, it took me months to get it right, but I think I'm finally satisfied with this piece!

When I'm working on multi-million note MIDIs FL Studio will sometimes lock up and not let me minimize it or anything. Anyway I ended up doing an AMD build and I am very satisfied with the results. My AMD computer cost me only a small fraction of what my Intel build cost. My Intel computer is still better than my AMD, but not by much.
My AMD computer has an AMD FX 8370 eight core processor, that came with an AMD Wraith Cooler. My Intel computer has an Intel i7 4790K four core processor, and both run at about 4,000 MHz.
I apologize if the audio sounds bad, no matter how good the soundfont is I always end up hating the way raw MIDIs sound.

I have been working on this piece for several months, plus I've been trying to improve my technique. Hopefully my next piece won't take so long to get finished, but I can't promise anything. As I always do with these, I have synthesized the audio in the video with FL Studio, and many of the tracks use FL plugins as opposed to just plain old MIDI Out.

Plus, sense I've gotten my new computer, I've been working really hard on my blacking technique, so a lot of what I've been creating has been trial and error, and not worth posting here. Anyway, I have an original piece in production right now, but I'm not going to say that it will be out soon, because I may need a lot more time to get it just right. So for now, here's another classic Black MIDI that I've arranged so that someone may hopefully be able to play it!

My old one was an ASUS laptop with an AMD A6-3420M APU 1.50 GHz processor, with Radeon HP Graphics. It runs Windows 7 64 bit and has 8 GB of RAM. My new one that my dad built for me is a tower with an MSI Z97S-SLI-KRAIT motherboard, and an Intel Core i7-4790K 4.00 GHz Processor. It has 32GB of RAM, and also runs Windows 7 64 bit. I might update to a more recent version of windows later, but as I've seen windows 8 and 10's crappy performance in other videos, that might not be such a good idea...
Anyway, the video and audio on the left is my old laptop's performance and the video and audio on the right is my new one. Thank you everyone for your suggestions, and I hope that I will have some original black MIDIs coming soon!

I made this video a LONG time ago. (At least it seems like it was a long time ago.) I'm sorry I still haven't finished the final version of this. Hopefully I will have it up soon though! I have a lot of other projects that I've been working on so, this one kind of went to the back burner. When I do release the final version, you should expect to see something similar to this.

I wrote the melody for this thing like, a year ago when I first started composing; and I've FINALLY got it to sound good! I have never had such a hard time with a MIDI before. I bet I made at least fifty different versions of this sucker before I finally got it done. I hope it was worth it! I hope to have some other old MIDIs up before too much time passes. I'm also thinking about having some special MIDIs up for Halloween. This piece has a total of 2,854,947 notes.

Thankfully, I eventually pulled it off! I was able to use Synthfont, so the audio turned out much better than my last Synthesia video. Again, if anyone can figure out why Fruity Soundfont Player sounds so bad; and perhaps give me some advice on how to fix it, I would really appreciate it!

I'm actually surprised that synthesia let me play it, as I've had a hard time getting it to play black MIDIs in the past. Sorry if the audio sounds a bit strange. I used Z-Doc Soundfont III, but Fruity Soundfont Player makes it sound a bit off. It's like there's not as much reverb as there should be. I've messed with the settings as much as I can, but I just can't get it to sound right. Does anyone else have this problem? It only seems to be like this when I use Fruity Soundfont player. Other things like Piano From Above seem to process the reverb just fine. If anyone thinks they know how to fix it please let me know, I would really appreciate it!Black Midi - Apocalypse II (Completed)Zachary Garlick2015-07-24 | Okay, so I know it's weird that this is Apocalypse II, and no one's seen Apocalypse I yet. Well, it should be up soon, I still have a lot of work to do on it. I call this Apocalypse II because the melody for it was written after I had done Apocalypse I. I didn't originally intend to release Apocalypse I; but I later decided that if I got it to sound good, I would. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish it and move on to other new songs. This piece has a total of 3,317,262 notes. I didn't use any soundfonts in this one; I actually used FL Keys and an organ synthesizer plugin for Fruity Loops Studio.
