Some of them such as the Adult Snatchers and Pod Protectors do appear in the campaign but they are there as animated decorations rather than functional AI enemies.
Adult Snatcher - The adult form of the facehugging Snatcher enemies. They can slash and leap like their baby form but they can also shoot arcing version of the Octabrain's explosive projectile and can also dig underground for a surprise attack. The game becomes incredibly laggy when they die.
Egg Pod - They will continue birthing Snatchers at an alarming rate, though it seems like the Snatchers will only come out from the "front" of the Egg Pod. If the Egg Pod dies while the Snatchers are in the middle of being born, the Snatcher gets stuck.
Pod Protector - The tentacle enemies seen in the 2003 footage. It appears they don't have their acid spit attack yet.
EDF Copter - I'd spawn it in a bigger map if DukeEd isn't so buggy, not that it makes much of a difference since it's barely functional and can't really move. All it does is rotate towards the player and play some harmless muzzle flashes.
EDF Sapper - He stands around and throws Pipe Bombs that detonate if you get close. Looks like he's not based on the EDF Grunt AI so he can't move around as they do.
There are other enemies like EDF Sniper (woman with red headband) and EDF Freezer (bald guy in blue hazmat) that I didn't encounter in the campaign but they don't have any AI yet so I didn't bother recording them.Duke Nukem Forever 2001 - Warp ZonesCitizen 172022-05-19 | A few DNF 2001 levels made use of Unreal 1's Warp Zone technology (as seen in the deathmatch map DM-Radikus) to connect different parts of a level to make them appear as if they were physically connected even though they're not. Pawns and projectiles can pass through the warp zones seamlessly but hitscan weapons can't shoot through it.
The bike canyon map (Z3L1_1) is also similar in that the parts of the level are all physically unconnected, but it uses the Transporter actor to seamlessly teleport you to the proper level part instead. I'd show it here too but the transporters only react to the bike and I couldn't figure out a way to dismount the bike (which doesn't let me noclip).Duke Nukem Forever 2001 - Shrunken inside a Computer and Entering CyberspaceCitizen 172022-05-17 | In the lategame levels Z5L2_2 and Z5L2_3, Duke finds himself inside a computer in Area 51 while Z5L2_4 and Z5L2_5 show Duke entering a trippy cyberworld. The next level on the list is Z6L1_1, set on the Moon. The shrunken sections feature a lot of platforming and also a "physics" puzzle with the seesawing heat sink that you have to time your jump perfectly with or else it gets stuck.
Please forgive my use of noclip because I couldn't figure out how to get past the electric gates at the start and also because I suck at platforming.Duke Nukem Forever 2001 - Egg Pod Test and The BlobCitizen 172022-05-15 | A short test map taken from a section of a DM map that's filled with animated decorations of various creatures, none of which were functional. The blob creature in the center of the map was meant to appear in the Stratosfear levels where it would chase the player around, though it's not actually present in those levels in this build (or at least, I haven't found it there yet).Duke Nukem Forever 2001 - Fathership Blowing Shit UpCitizen 172022-05-14 | The fathership appears quite late in this build, in the EDF Base level Z4L1_6 (which is also where the basketball court is) after the EDF Central Command Building level. It sports a design inspired by Independence Day and has an awesome beam firing sequence too.
By the way, the ship is referred to as Proton Ship when viewing the level with the level editor.Duke Nukem Forever 2001 - Motorbike DriftingCitizen 172022-05-14 | Sliding under the truck as seen in the E3 trailer map, AB_Motorcycle_Slide. The truck's body (but not the wheels) appears to have some sort of soft collision with the bike so it doesn't really matter if you slide under it or not.Duke Nukem Forever 2001 - Bellowsaur AI Testing GroundsCitizen 172022-05-12 | A section from the Lady Killer Rooftop map that's used to test Bellowsaur AI. Bellowsaurs don't appear anywhere in the main campaign levels in the build and one of the other test maps seems to imply that Bellowsaur would've had a ranged burst of wind attack from its mouth, which is not present here.Duke Nukem Forever 2001 - Dance Dance Revolution minigame and Ambush sequenceCitizen 172022-05-12 | Duke plays Dance Dance Duke and got his victory lap dance interrupted by the sudden news that there is an impostor among them.Duke Nukem Forever 2001 - Final LevelCitizen 172022-05-12 | The final two levels of the game in the leaked build, Z6L2_1 and Z6L2_2. The first one is an exterior view of the Mothership showing its massive size compared to the Fathership you encountered earlier in the EDF Base (Z5L1) while also showing that the Fathership you tried so hard to nuke was only one of many. The second map is the interior of the Mothership and there are some giant buildings and EDF-209 robots for some reason. The final setpiece in the campaign in this build is a non-functional giant robot rockem-sockem fight.
I seem to recall some old plot synopsis that the buildings are supposed to be famous Earth landmarks (like the Eiffel Tower) that the Fathership has sucked up, but I wasn't able to find the source on that statement again.Duke Nukem Forever 2001 OST - Lesson 1 (Club Cut)Citizen 172022-05-11 | One of the few music tracks in the game, and one of the fewer ones that's actually used at all.
