Supplemental Proofs/Experiments for the Conservation of Energy Crotas End Challenge Commander Pika Plays 2023-09-23 | There is a lot of misinformation/misinterpretation of the "Conservation of Energy" Crota's End Challenge out there. Is it: a) 1 Enlighten per pedestal b) you can only enlighten the lamp with a pedestal c) do you have to alternate between Preserving the Chalice and Enlightening lamps?Short answer, all incorrect. Doing what's listed above will complete the challenge, but it isn't what the challenge is. This video is my experimentation/runs to come up with the theory for the challenge: "You can only Enlighten Lamps UP TO the number of times you have Preserved the Chalice at a unique pedestal".You'll see in my runs that complete the challenge, sometimes we enlightened 2 lamps in a row, other run we didn't enlighten ANY lamps, and the other we just used 2 lamps. Testing at the beginning helps explain my theory.They only "outlier" is Experiment D: what happens if you Enlighten the first lamp BEFORE you preserve. Answer: you don't fail....yet. if you then preserve and then light the next lamp, you'll fail. So idk if Bungie just coded it weirdly (not expecting people to enlighten the 1st lamp before preserve) or the challenge doesn't "start" until your first preserve, and upon our first preserve, we lost our "token" retroactively. If any other people experiment and either corroborate or disprove my theory, I'm all for it. All for the name of knowledge and helping people.
