Anyway this is the battle theme from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. I took footage of the music from a couple sources and spliced it together in Audacity to create the most likely candidate for how the actual song is going to sound once it's out and fully available. Hope you all enjoy!

However, as soon as I heard Marcy Nabors' "Renewed Return" from "Homestuck Vol. 10", I knew it had to be laid over this flash. It was as if God himself came upon me in a moment of divine inspiration and told me:
"You should totally put 'Renewed Return' over that it'll be sick as hell."
So I did. The process was more complicated than I was anticipating, and I had to jump through a few hoops to make the transitions between spliced portions of the music not totally stupid-sounding. The beginning was a bit jarring, so I also added a random cymbal swell just to make it less so.
In my opinion this is epic as hell and I hope you enjoy watching it as much I was a overwhelmed while I made it. Audacity is not a perfect program and I have absolutely no music editing experience.
“[S] JOHN. RISE UP.” and the webcomic Homestuck were created by Andrew Hussie.
“Renewed Return” was composed by Marcy Nabors, who plays the bass clarinet in this song. Yishan Mai plays the flute, Kelly Sadwin plays the violin and viola, and Jamie Paige Stanley plays the percussion. The Latin lyrics were written by Kyle G. Jamolin, who also did the choir direction. The song features the voice talents of Ciaran Cain, Zeynep Dilli, Kat Jamolin, Kyle G. Jamolin, Michael Ohr, Corbin Pangilinan, Robin S, Chris Roper, and Stephen “Jeebes” Wiley. And now the Elsword Original Soundtrack 2015 revamp has finally gone out of the themes for the new characters and additional modes and actually gone into the new areas. This one is for Sander Village, and it's obvious they were going for an Arabian/Middle Eastern mood for the sand-covered land. It's pretty cool actually, to see the game taking such serious cues from the real world equivalents of its village. The name follows the explicitly obvious style of the rest of the villages.

And now the mood shifts, to a more energetic kind of eerie. Add's more villainous personality has come out, and his Nasod enhancements have changed him. The electronic sounds which work with the other instruments make a kind of song rather unlike anything else found in Elsword at all, and it really sets Add apart from the rest of the characters more than he already is.

Next dungeon in Sander! This one's a lot more happening, while still keeping the very minor key, mysterious Sander feel. Seems like you're getting into more difficult and dangerous stuff...and the whirling sandstorm certainly doesn't help! I like this song more than its predecessors for that. The name focussed less on the actual locale and more on the aforementioned sandstorm that I believe sets a visual mood.

The first field theme of Lanox, as well as the theme for one of its dungeons. This one seems like the quintessential field theme for me: intense for the field of battle, but nothing too extensive or overwhelming. Fits better as a field than a dungeon, I think. I like the return to standard orchestra Lanox is bringing, and how its darker mood meshes well with the hellish landscape around you. The name comes from the ash that coats the sky of the general landscape, but especially the village in the dungeon this plays in, blotting out the sun and casting it in darkness. One might imagine that it has been that way forever, long enough for its inhabitants to forget even the light and warmth of the sun...

Now we've washed our hands of the grit of Sander and have moved on to the ninth area (and the current final one, as of writing this), Lanox. It's an area themed entirely around fire. Considering this, the village theme is extremely welcoming and warm. Considering Lanox Village has a massive lavafall right in the background and it just in general looks like the village from Hell, it surprises me a lot actually. Maybe I should be grateful every moment in this place isn't mega intense. The song's good, though, and reminds me a lot of Ruben in the mood that it pushes. The name follows the standard self-explanatory naming convention for villages.

It's not often one dungeon will have two musical themes, but the Ash-Covered Village does. The first was shared with two fields in Lanox, but this one plays within the mines near the village, and the danger has increased. With it, the mood of the song has as well, from light and eerie to heavier and more intense. It keeps a pretty consistent melody, but really plays around with it as the song continues, and that's cool. The name was just a descriptor, as is usual for unique themes.

Now this song is pretty alarming. It's intense, but not so much in the epic heroic way as the "being-chased-by-a-monster" way. It's pretty fitting for the "lava temple" kind of dungeon it takes place in, which of course is a staple in any platformer game ever. The orchestral instrument set is used to its fullest extent here to really get you running. The name takes cues from the environment, as usual, and from Lanox's general fascination with fire.

Hooray, you saved Luriel from her nightmare! Not much to say about this one—it's a very short and also oddly awkward jingle celebrating your victory. It serves its purpose. The .ogg file was also over a minute long, which I found a strange, so I shortened it here. The name highlights the poor girl who you saved from her teddy-filled nightmare.

Halloween's got a bit more to offer in this revamp...as in, actual music. This one played during a number of Halloween event areas, and it really feels wicked and freaky. Not legitimately scary though, and that's exactly how Halloween is supposed to be. Excellent composition for an excellent holiday. This song plays in a number of nightmares, hence the name.

The theme that plays during the introduction of the seventh character, Ara Haan—the girl with the spirit of the fox within her. It seems to take a cue from Raven's intro theme, with a darker and more grim mood to it reflecting the tragedy that she faced at the hands of demons. Violin of some sort comes in later, and it's truly beautiful especially coupled with the piano. Lends her some grace, and perhaps some hope too. Not a whole lot though—the song ends as dark as it starts.

Time to take another break, this time in Sander's rest area. This song sounds almost tribal, especially in the beginning, and has a return to the Sander style. For a rest area theme, it actually seems kind of foreboding and dangerous, like you're going to be jumped at any point. It's an interesting choice. I gave it a name meant to highlight the fact that it is a rest area, but I wanted to keep the reference to its usual setting.

Time for a break at an actual relaxing hot spring. Lanox's field is a very, very pretty sight, with waterfalls and steam rising up to a sky filled with stars and a bright moon. The song is also extremely pretty and relaxing to match, unlike Sander's before it. It's certainly welcome in my opinion. The piano is just heavenly. The title mixes the environment with the time of day, giving a nice mental image in my opinion.

Time for an event raid—against a gigantic teddy bear. Can't say I'd wish that on myself. It's a heavy and intense song for the first half, which is honestly the sort of thing I'd expect from a giant boss theme, but suddenly it gets more lighthearted and cheerful and my expectations are again defied. Still has the Halloween feel, though. The title comes from what you fight, obviously. Giant teddy bears are intimidating foes.

The world is crashing down around you and this song really makes you feel it. It's hectic, fast-paced, and gives a sense of intense panic that'll put a fire under you (if you'll pardon the pun). I like it, and more so because it's one of the couple tunes in Elsword that focusses a lot on matching the mood of the stage more than anything else. Very impressive. The name focussed less on the location and more on what was happening to that location, which I felt was more important. The fire link was important, as usual.

And we've reached the current final stage of North America's Elsword. It's got an interesting song, one that is intense the whole way through yet changes the tempo and instrumentation on a dime. Even when focussing on strings and percussion, you can hear a delicate little melody in the background that gives a mischievous undertone to it all. Not sure if it feels "final" (that descriptor goes to "Touch the Heavens" more than anything else, I think), but that doesn't make it bad. The title makes a reference to the planet's mantle—the massive portion of magma just below the Earth's crust, but before the core.

The first song accompanying the intro for the eighth character: Elsword's sister, Elesis, and a character from Grand Chase as well. Continuity! This one's really nice, with lots of piano to accompany the pleasant mood. In her story, she lives with Elsword in peace until demons attack, and this is a nice tune to have set to that. Curious as to how they rationalize the different continuities though, since in Elsword's introduction she is nowhere to be found...

Now that you've taken down Berthe, you'll have been given access to Ereda Island, the site of Elsword's second PvP mode, where two teams must race through a dungeon and destroy the tower at the end faster than their opponents. It's quite an interesting concept, and the song is nice as well. Fits nicely with Velder especially, possessing a similar mood and style of instrumentation. The sudden increase in tempo near the end is quite cool too. The name was an attempt at summing up the objective of this mode of the game, and I think I did so quite well.

Huh, this one's pretty interesting. I guess the old Shadow Forest theme (shared with Bethma Lake (Night) and Altera Core) wasn't fitting enough for the development team. Not that I'm complaining—this is a pretty great song. Kinda creepy and unnerving, which is a good thing for a forest swathed in darkness. At the same time, it's not too much so. Strikes a nice balance. The name was given in order to be more specific to its only appearance, which is more a descriptor of what you fight in the Shadow Forest than anything. "The Cover of Darkness" has been moved ahead into the Bethma tracks to reflect this change.

There have been "soundtracks" compiled on Youtube for this game before, but a big problem with them is that they're clustered, incomplete, disorganized, and poorly-named. I aimed to fix that problem, so I went through all the dungeons and such, making a list of which songs in the game's files played where, and organized them in order of appearance, giving them all unique names and making it generally nice to look at. It was a long project, but it was worth it.
Eventually, though, I got out of Elsword and started slacking on this playlist due to general lack of interest—the last songs added were the field themes, uploaded on July 2, 2013. Two years ago as of writing this! A lot has been added since then—over 50 songs. I've decided to come back to this and get it current for you all. After all, the songs are up on Youtube, but none are together quite like this. It's time for the Elsword NA Original Soundtrack 2015 revamp!
The soundtrack contains every song in the North American version of the game, as well as the songs that were only found in the old Korean beta years ago and are no longer accessible, plus the various Christmas and Halloween event songs.
This song here is the first you'll here in the game, period (so long as you don't look up any Youtube videos). In older versions of Elsword, the song once called "Welcome to Elsword!", which I renamed "A Friendly Clash of Blades" to reflect its new spot, would play here. It was bubbly and nice, but this one is a lot more serious, and reflects the darkening of Elsword's atmosphere in the later portions of the game. Because of this, I gave it a more serious name, focussing on combat between two enemies (which is basically what this game is about). It's a great song, and a great way to start the game.
(Also, it's a medley of at least some of the village themes. You can hear the theme for Ruben at 0:43, followed by Elder at 0:53, and Bethma at 1:02. I can't find any of the others, but if you can hear them then let me know and I'll add it here!)

Let's take an abrupt break from dungeon crawling for a second and break out the song from the Gates of Darkness, arguably Elsword's army mode. You defend your portal against an onslaught of demons while attempting to destroy a similar portal on the other side of the map belonging to the demons. A very cool mode to spice up the game, and the song is similarly cool. Very intense, with really awesome violin thrown in there too. Fits nicely in with the Feita tracks too, which is appropriate, given Feita's dungeons are when you are first able to enter the Gates. The name was given to originally encompass the old Gates of Darkness mode, where you defended a crystal against waves, but it still fits with the new version as you must still defend your portal against demons.

This dungeon theme is easily the most intense one Sander has had to offer yet. Brass, hard drums, even guitar. For a bit it really breaks away from the Sander style of music, but bringing in the wind instruments near the end gives it that connective flair that it needed to truly be great and appropriate. The name was a stylistic spin on Sandtilus, the ruin you must brave to win.

And then the demons attack! A second song to herald an epic battle between Elesis and her foe (that we don't get to see). In all honesty, it's a pretty basic song. Fits the scenario, but it doesn't have a whole lot of variety or substance, even if it sets an intense mood. The drums are nice though.

Eerie, this last field theme. The strings, wind instruments, and odd noises spread throughout give it a somewhat alien and sinister feeling, which is fairly appropriate given it takes place in a horrid, corrupted hole in the ground. At the same time, the piano gives it a pleasant feeling too, and the brass and guitar up the ante and make it seem intense. All this gives it a mix of moods. The song is pretty long for a field theme, too. The title was meant to give it a dark feeling as you prepare to go into the belly of the beast...

Now THIS is a great song! A brand new boss theme, finally, after going entirely through Sander, and it is truly epic. The (synthesized) choir, the orchestral beats, and the epic strings really get your blood pumping. It's a lot more melodic and graceful than Elsword's more recent boss themes, but still keeps the more modern feel as opposed to their earlier music. It's great. The name is a good one in my opinion, as it describes the two very feminine (and deliberately attractive) bosses while also sounding nicely poetic in its word choice, in my opinion.

Time to get married in style! Sander's wedding hall is an extravagant place to read your vows to a crowd—provided you have the cash. The tune is pretty different than Ruben's, too, focussing less on pretty and sweet instrumentation and more on a sort of regal style of doing things. It's got a march feel to it as well, which I imagine would be nice to walk down an aisle to. The game gives you a lot of variety. The name was given to match "Union in Ruben Village", given it deals with the same content.

Character(s) number ten! This one is actually two: Lu, the former demon lord, and Ciel, an underworld assassin for hire. Unlike pretty much every other character's backstory, their story is actually quite sweet and nice to see. Their song is also the longest of all the characters', at a whopping five minutes. Starts off with soft piano, followed by strings, which makes it actually seem kind of emotional in a really positive way, unlike...all of the other characters, really. It's very nice. The best of all of them so far, I think.

Funkyyyy. Totally different than anything heard in Elsword, period, much less the dungeon themes. This is such a fun song to kill monsters to, and sets the mood just as much as the hot water and steam everywhere does. Makes me want to relax in a hot tub or a spring and do nothing. The name comes from the fact that there are geysers, everywhere. Not much more to say on that.

The second and last field theme of Lanox, and it's pretty chill. Really, really chill. The low bass is really nice, and the really quiet melody throughout the first portion is very calming. The second portion really picks up though, becoming kind of heroic almost. Fitting for the first area it plays in, but not so much the second. Steam is way more calming than magma. Magma is not calming, it is alarming. The title is derived from both of those things too, since they're the most obvious landmarks of each area.

The second raid boss is only accessible through Sander's fields in the South Korean version of Elsword, but North American's version can be accessed through Hamel's as well, so it goes right after Eltrion's theme. This one plays for Drabaki, the huge centipede-esque creature surely of demonic origin. This theme didn't surprise me as much after hearing "Robotic Colossus", and honestly it fits a really creepy, snaking centipede creature in my eyes. The drums are kind of hypnotic, actually. As with Eltrion, the name was given to describe what Drabaki actually is.

Man, Elsword's getting dark all of a sudden. The introduction to the ninth character—Add, the young man corrupted by Nasod technology and driven somewhat insane by solitude—is creepy and grim. The poor guy was sold as a slave, for goodness' sake, and what he escaped to wasn't exactly a treasure. His first tune is short and sweet, but definitely nice to set the stage for his story.

Back out into danger in Sander's third field. Honestly, I feel this one would probably fit more with the previous rest area, as it's slower and more subdued. The flute gives it a nice, calm feeling. Or...it would fit until you reach halfway through, when it suddenly gets intense. Not so fitting after that. Lots of dungeons in this spot of the soundtrack and no fields or boss themes to break them up, it seems. The pace of this song is slower than the previous ones, and seems more atmospheric. There's more emphasis on strings in this one too, as opposed to the more typical Arabian-style instrumentation Sander has been displaying so far. It's nice to zone out to, rather than as an intense theme. The name derives from where it plays—the Caluso Tribe is themed rather heavily after wind, so it was appropriate.

This is another "freaky but not legitimately scary" song to accompany Halloween, this one in only one map, from what I'm aware of. It's more bombastic and energetic than "Sinister Nightmare". I can definitely appreciate that. The name comes from the one dungeon this played at, once upon a time. I also just really like alliteration.

Now this is a nice song. I guess I should hope so, given your characters are getting married during it. Quite a cute addition to the game. This song plays in Ruben's wedding hall, where you'll be able to express your undying love(?) for another player in a wedding ceremony, complete with guests! As such, the song is a very nice tune with a lot of sweet and beautiful instruments, which really sets the scene. Piano and flute work well together. The name is pretty self-explanatory, describing what you are doing and where you are doing it in.

...and here you are. The final dungeon of Sander: within the Behemoth itself. It's a really bizarre track—the tempo seems a little all over the place, and the instrumentation almost seems like it could be in a horror game. Definitely the peak of Sander's action, as you near Karis for the final time.

Into Sander's first dungeon. A somewhat faster-paced song that sounds right out of an Arabian Nights tale, with heavy focus on what I assume is a sitar. You can just feel the grit of the desert in your ears. The usage of more orchestral instruments later on is definitely something I appreciate, since that's more my thing. The song title focussed on the fact that this plays in a town, where you will actually be travelling through streets on your way through armies of demons.

Another boss theme! One that functions as the final boss theme as well, at the time of writing this. It shifts away from the orchestral madness of the last couple and back into the guitar style found in "Quelling the Hulking Beast". It always throws me off hearing what sounds like actual guitars, rather than whatever early Elsword boss themes used. It's another thing that really shows the shift Elsword has taken since the beginning. Unlike "Quelling the Hulking Beast" though, this song is more intense, and has a harder melody. The addition of the orchestral instruments near the end really pushes it into awesome territory. The name was given as a way to link the bosses that this plays for together, and they have a common link to flames (which is very Lanox). Hellfire is an awesome word, in my opinion.

All right that's enough getting married let's go back to killing things. This is the theme for Sander's first fields, and they've got a lot of sand. It continues Sander's Arabian theme, with a focus on wind instruments. It's got a low mood to fit the areas, and definitely seems like a desert song. The name encompasses the main landmark of the areas. Take a guess at what that is.

Dungeon number three of Sander. This one takes place underground for the most part, in the hideaway of the Trocks. This song seems a little...nice? The string plucking that takes up a lot of the main melody is kind of pleasant, a bit of a far cry from the intensity of Hamel or Velder. It's got some nice drums in the background though. Not much more to say about this one, other than the fact that the title focusses on the underground portion of the level to sum it all up.

With entry into Hamel's fields comes the opportunity to battle in large raid teams against utterly massive and powerful foes the likes of which never before seen in Elsword. This first theme is the one against the enormous battle mecha, Eltrion, and it is...not what I expected at all. When I first heard of this mode I expected something along the lines of "Life or Death" earlier in the soundtrack (the song's inclusion in the battle against King Nasod, the game's first huge background boss, didn't help). Instead, it's a sort of low, quiet song with a subtle and unassuming tone to it, peppered with electronic sounds. Perhaps they knew raids would take some time, and didn't want to overwhelm anyone. It's an interesting song, unlike other ones on the soundtrack. The name is derived from Eltrion's nature as a very large robot. Obvious enough.
