The desire to see a unified Korea was strongly evident throughout the festival and the application of my 360º videos as a bridge to connect the north and south was a tremendous honor. Perhaps the highest accolade I received came from watching the wonder and excitement from every single one of the participants donning the 'KT Super VR" headsets. I am glad that South Koreans could have a small sample of the experiences I had in North Korea, from taking a ride in their subway, to soaring above the skies of Pyongyang. I am very grateful to Korea Telecom for providing the booth and VR headsets; and to the organisers of #PIPFF for welcoming my project.

Excerpt from a North Korean Wedding Aram Pan 2017-11-01 | This is a kind of mini "march in" for the bride and groom in North Korea. Some of the very traditional wedding days for example: October, it's 8, 9, 18, 19, 28, and 29 of the month as these are considered days without evil spirits (손없는날은). These days vary from month to month. The season with the most "spirit free" days are in autumn and spring. 손 (sohn) is a kind of spirit believed to cause trouble when traveling about.

I visited the opening day of the week-long event on the 25th September 2017, just shortly after the latest ballistic missile test. They sold all manner of stuff from shatter resistant LCD screens and liquid cooled computers to colourful fish tanks.
