What a difference a couple of weeks makes, I filmed this on the 19th September 2016 and it was still very much a summers day, Less than two weeks later and we're well into autumn conditions! Caught sight of this new aircraft making a few approaches to runway 25, Filmed from out on Clifton Marsh..
Yet another 'Primer' Hawk T2/165(RAF Serial ZB112) Being test flown by the Royal Air force(RAF) at the Eurofighter Typhoon factory at Bae Systems Warton Aerodrome. I believe these aircraft are destined for either Saudi Arabia or Oman but have been given temporary RAF serials for the purposes of test flights in the UK prior to delivery. This is a very new aircraft, It's first flight was on 8th September 2016. This particular flight took place on 15th September 2016
The BAE Systems Hawk is a British single-engine, jet-powered advanced trainer aircraft. It was first flown at Dunsfold, Surrey, in 1974 as the Hawker Siddeley Hawk, and subsequently produced by its successor companies, British Aerospace and BAE Systems, respectively. It has been used in a training capacity and as a low-cost combat aircraft.
Operators of the Hawk include the Royal Air Force (notably the Red Arrows display team) and a considerable number of foreign military operators. The Hawk is still in production in the UK and under licence in India by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) with over 900 Hawks sold to 18 operators around the world.
Hawk 165
The Mk. 165 is an export variant of the AJT currently on order by the Royal Saudi Air Force. The 22 aircraft are to be built in the UK by BAE.
