IT is TIME! I've definitely over-prepared for this in terms of resource gathering, but that's ok since it means there's basically no chance of this failing due to lack of VP. Inspired by the late Alex Cimo's Master Duel series, this challenge is designed to push the game of Pokémon Champions to its limit by removing as much autonomy as possible. Starting with the bare minimum, not even allowing free item choices, we are forced to win with a ragtag bundle of Pokémon in order to make incremental improvements and attempt to climb as high as possible on the ladder. Can we manage to win our way up to the top? Let's find out!
1) At the start of the challenge, Permanently recruit 6 new Pokémon from the current Regulation. There are no restrictions on what you can pick outside of Species Clause. Release all other mons once recruited.
2) Build the team using only those 6 Pokémon. No held items of any kind are allowed at the start of the challenge.
3) At any time between games, you are allowed to freely EV Train any of your Pokémon (including changing Natures), and you are allowed to teach Protect (and ONLY Protect) to any Pokémon.
4) Go on the Doubles Ranked Ladder and attempt to win games. For every game you win you earn a Champion Point to spend on an improvement to your team.
5) Champion Points may be spent on the following:
a) Recruit a new Pokémon.
b) Unlock 1 Item at random from all available choices.
c) Unlock 1 Mega Stone of your choice.
d) You can change one move on any of your Pokémon.
e) You can change the Ability of one of your Pokémon.
