I can not believe we are actually in Madagascar. We've been looking forward to this country for a very long time and it did not disappoint.
As soon as we arrived in Antananarivo, or as locals call it "Tana" we were in awe of what a unique and special place this is. We took a 5 hour, super bumpy car ride to Andasibe to get into the jungle. We stayed at Mantadia Lodge. mantadialodge.com In Madagascar you do mostly walking safaris (very different from mainland Africa!) and we were on the lookout for lemurs (114 different species!), chameleons, and other unique animals endemic to Madagascar.
