These unique modern 40' Boxcars are finally available as ready to run plastic models. In the early 1970s, the Southern Pacific needed a new fleet of heavy-duty boxcars for copper loading service in Arizona and turned to the PC&F. Their solution was this unique fleet of 40’ 6” 100-ton boxcars, a rare length not commonly built since the 1950s.
