🇸🇬 Our #GXR and #Robobus vehicles are now in Singapore powering Ai.R, Grab's first consumer AV service! Operated by Grab in partnership with WeRide, Ai.R (Autonomously Intelligent Ride) will will serve the #Punggol area along two designated routes, making it the first autonomous shuttle service in a residential neighbourhood approved by the Land Transport Authority.
Starting this week, Ai.R will begin route familiarization in Punggol, with full passenger service expected by early 2026.
Ai.R was unveiled to the public at the "Autonomous Shuttle in Punggol" event, organized by the Ministry of Transport and attended by Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong and Acting Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow, alongside Dr. Kerry Xu, General Manager of WeRide (Singapore).
🚕🚌 Both our GXRs and Robobus have passed Singapore's stringent Milestone 1 (M1) assessment, making them the first autonomous vehicles designated for Punggol to attain this certification. A safety officer will be onboard in the initial phase, before eventually shifting to remote monitoring.
