Do you know what’s OTP, OTC or OTL?

All these words stand for One-Time-something and they refer to a form of authentication by possession so let’s go one by one!

OTP stands for One-Time-Password, which is valid for only one login session. OTC stands for One-Time Code and it’s often interchangeable with the term OTP

OTL on the other hand stands for One-Time-Link and it’s the link you get in an email to log in

All these methods can be used as either passwordless authentication or as a second factor authentication.
