My Top Autumn/Fall Sewing Patterns one lisa show 2025-08-18 | Season 2025, Episode 23These are my tried and true, TNT, Autumn sewing patterns. Most are what I would consider quick sews, with a couple more challenging projects that will satisfy someone looking to expand their skill. Why did I pick these patterns? I tend to not only make multiples of these, but I also keep grabbing and picking these clothes in particular to wear during fall. Perfect for casual, work, church, family events, and just grocery shopping! I do like to dress comfortably as much as possible and I think all these patterns are comfy or casual. Lets Unpack a box of patterns I got at a garage sale one lisa show 2025-07-28 | Season 2025, Episode 20This is not your ordinary unboxing video or vlog...it is a FUN BOXING!My church holds an annual garage sale and Bake Sale every year. Its one of the biggest fundraisers for my church...and one of the most attended events outside of Easter Sunday Mass. This year, I donated a box of things I had no use for, including 3 sewing patterns. When I attended the garage sale (I arrived around an hour after it opened on the first day), I found an entire BOX of Sewing patterns for $5!!!! Yes, at the top of the box was one of the patterns I donated, so I knew they bunched them all together and sold them in bulk.I bought the box, essentially buying back my own donations. Well worth it, the money went to my own church!!What was inside? This video I show every pattern as I take it out of the box. I check for the copyright date for each pattern, give the pattern maker and number and sizes. Almost all of the patterns were uncut!!! Some were missing instructions or sheets, but 68 patterns total!!!Patterns from Vintage McCalls in 1962, and patterns from every decade since 1960s.Some unusual and amazing finds--clothes, crafts and quilting!!Kwik Sew, Butterick, See and Sew, McCall's, Simplicity, Vogue (yes, vintage Vogue!!)Tons of sewing patterns from the 1990s and early 2000s, which is great because that fashion is now back in style.My measurements for reference: B: 41W: 35H: 45height: 5 ft 3 inches. Happy 2025! Sewing Resolutions and How did my Nieces Like their Quilts? HMMMMM one lisa show 2025-01-01 | Season 2025, Episode 1: Happy New Year! My nieces loved their quilts! The younger one received the yellow quilt, and she yelled "Its Amazing!" after she opened it. I truly think they appreciated their quilts. They both mentioned they are warm.My sewing resolutions this year:I am not doing a Make 9 chart-- In 2024, I sewed up 25 projects. I know I can do better and plan to make more than I did in 2024.I am committing to creating 50 videos on One Lisa Show. That is almost 1/week.I am going to create and sew a Vegas Vacation Capsule Wardrobe!!! This will be for a vacation in Las Vegas this year-- a well needed break. I would love to have luggage filled with me-mades that all coordinate with one another to make my packing and traveling easier, even if we are just going for a few days. I've always wanted to create a capsule wardrobe of coordinated separates.Finally, I plan to make a quilt for our king sized bed. Think Pink Box 34 Unboxing one lisa show 2024-12-07 | It was a rough week of tracking my box online, but it finally came! This video shows what is inside my Think Pink Box 34 from Beyond the Pink Door in the UK. @Beyondthepinkdoor I had purchased the Think Pink Box from Andrea before, but last month some openings became available for her "sewscription" (subscription) and I jumped at the chance. This way, I don't have to think about it and can just get a surprise at the beginning of each month.The Think Pink Box is something I fully paid for, this is not a sponsored video of any sort. Inside is a sewing tool or item, fabric, a matching thread (usually Gutterman), and a small gift or token. Its a fun surprise and runs about $55/US Dollars including shipping.I love to watch @theyorkshiresewgirl every month show off what she got in her fabric box. Watching her open her box is so fun, and I had been wanting to start getting this sewing subscription box for some time now...I totally blame Ruan for this one!!! Overall, there were 3 different colorways (or color variations) of this print. Every box had 2.5 meters of this gorgeous Eco-Vera Viscose fabric. Mine is the blue background (Which Andrea lovingly named Frozen), but there also were some subscribers who received a black background and a creamy burnt orange background (Black Ice and Chili, respectively). In my opinion, this was a deal for 60 inch wide dress fabric. The flow and drape of this fabric is fluid. The fabric is thin but not shear, very lightweight and perfect for a dress or a blouse. I'm thinking of making the Closet Core Carolyn Pajamas, but Big Daddy mentioned he thinks the fabric is too nice and should become a vintage style dress. The swimsuit was Butterick B4526 (4526). My measurements call for a size 20, but I sewed up a size 18 and I used the C/D bust option. This swimsuit features bust darts, lined, and has a shelf bra. I thought the instructions on inserting the elastic were cumbersome and extra work, so I applied the elastic as I would when making my own underwear (panties). (Check out Megan Nielsen's pattern Acacia which is free if you sign up to her newsletter...her blog tells all about making panties and adding the elastic easily). I found the size 18 fits my body, but is too loose for my bust with not enough support-- the combination of the darts and the extra space for the c/d bust made it too loose and not holding my bust up.
