I'm pretty sure that there are some OoT pros who know about this already but there's no harm in making a video.
While you have blank B and you're on a ladder, you can switch items around on your C buttons and not have them dull. This is normally corrected once you get off the ladder.
While you have text up, your B and C buttons stay in the same state as until the text is closed.
Therefore, I can get on a ladder, switch a usable item with FW, wait for the text to come up and climb up the vines. Then, I'll be able to use FW.

This was my entry to task 6 of Eumeuss TAS competition. The goal was to enter the swamp spiderhouse and collect 8 skulltulas. I took 2nd place with this time of 33.33 seconds.
To setup, I get to 1 heart and get stored SoT. I also get bomb crap which is the same concept in the following video, but with bombs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9x0XQG5ZiY - this allows me to keep bombs after using song of time.
I then enter the spiderhouse and leave it, to set my spawn there. I hover just above the edge of the plane of water. I turn goron and pull the powder keg just as he touches water. This causes him to drown but the powder keg never actually touches the water. As a result, I respawn outside the spiderhouse as human with a keg. From that point onwards, I just have to wait for the fuse to nearly run out, and then I can go in for my instant recoil flip.
The rest should be relatively understandable. I use damage to interrupt the hookshot on a token in the 2nd room, allowing it to be collected instantly. I also use song of time to heal after killing myself in the 3rd room. This gives me timestop so that I can roll into both pots and stack the cutscenes to save time.
