This story was written by Mr. Philip Barshofsy and first ran in Wonder Stories, November of 1934. According to an editor's note, it was published to capitalize on the great reader response to When Reptiles Ruled (which I read over here: youtu.be/vUwYczCJnKU), as clearly readers wanted more dinosaur content.
This story includes appearances by something called a "Morrosaurus", a genus which has since been folded into Camarasaurus.
I have no idea what the bit about the island being "the only habitable land on the planet" is in reference to.
