Hello and welcome to my hiking and wild camping channel! My name is Martin, and I'm an avid outdoor enthusiast who loves exploring nature and sleeping under the stars.
Something a little bit different today. The tour de France started this year in Catalunya, Spain and for the first time ever, the rider rode through my hometown of Vilanova y la Geltru. Having had the first day in Barcelona, which was a 20km time trial, as is the tradition, the second stage was from Tarragona to Barcelona, via Vilanova y la geltru, Sitges, Casteldefells before heading inland and over the hills before climbing Montjuic in Barcelona to finish.
What an amazing experience! Firstly, to witness the procession of cars and trucks coming through the town beforehand, throwing out everything from packs of haribo to hats and bags, to eventually witnessing the best riders in the world fly through at 50km per hour. Such a party atmosphere among the thousands of people who lined the streets and i was so glad i got to witness this once in a lifetime achievement.
