By vining yourself back and forth between two vines, you can get a lot of height. You can use this to skip this wall in Moon Cave, skipping using the Canon and thus going into the sand room: youtube.com/watch?v=J0tWaX05k6k
This was already possible, but this method is quite a lot easier.
Still, landing in the hallway without being pushed off out of bounds is annoying. I show 4 different attempts that succeed in this video. I'm hopeful we can make something consistent with this.

(If you were wondering, there is no loading zone to Orochi in the ceiling, otherwise you would be able to reach it with this technique)

13 seconds improvement over the previous TAS by implementing the storage strat!

Strat explanation:
Phase 1:
- The first hit must be done asap. I believe you cannot fire an arrow faster than I just did but maybe I am wrong, idk. This first shot was a 14 frame improvement over the previous best TAS.
- This phase has 100 frames of invincibility after a hit, so I take that time to move towards the middle platform and get storage. I lose a few frames due to needing to get storage though. Both hits are done on the first possible frame (except thats not true, I lost one frame but whatever).
Phase 2:
- With storage I can move around during the cutscene. You might think that means I should beat the spider phase as soon as it appears. However, if I defeat the spider before the cutscene ends, I wont be able to store the next defeat cutscene. And if I try to get storage during the cutscene, my bow gets locked and I cannot aim anymore (but in one very specific direction). Thus I decide to wait out the cutscene. The third shot on the spider is done exactly as the cutscene ends.
Phase 3:
- For this snake phase, just beat him asap. The first hit is done frame perfectly, the 2nd is pretty easy to do fast. The third hit is really hard to optimize though, I believe most of the improvement can come from that. Still a 17 frame improvement between the first and last shot compared to the old TAS.")

How to:
- Make a tornado spawn over Skyloft (I used lepelogs tools to find a good tornado spawning spot, I recommend using the one with id FD 2D).
- Fly into the tornado, and jump off right before you collide with it
You should land on Skyloft while your loftwing is thrown into the air. The timing for jumping off is precise.
I would still like to replicate the tornado-less method though. I will try a bit more today.")
