Unfortunately I don't remember which one, but here it is.What is this thing?Vegan Pop Tarts2023-06-12 | ...Betty Boop in Toyland 8mm silent kiddie movieVegan Pop Tarts2021-02-03 | This was going to be a bonus feature on an upcoming DVD set as well, but we weren't able to verify its copyright status, so better safe than sorry. It's another condensed version of a Betty Boop cartoon "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers". I believe it's included on an official Blu-ray release from Olive Films.Betty Boop The Auto Racer 8mm silent kiddie movieVegan Pop Tarts2021-02-03 | This is a condensed version of the cartoon "Betty Boop's Ker Choo". These kiddie movie films were sold in department stores for $1 several decades ago before VHS. Let me know if you grew up watching kiddie movies like this as a kid! I love to hear your stories!
This was originally going to be a cheesy bonus feature on an upcoming Betty Boop DVD set, but the video quality is just so bad. Something is wrong with the film. Every other frame is blurry. I don't know why. When I worked on it to clean it up, the film just looked even worse; it was like all I was doing was just magnifying the bad video quality of the film. It looks better unaltered. How to stop film from getting jammed in a Wolverine 8mm & super 8 pro film scannerVegan Pop Tarts2020-12-14 | Little tip that might help you8mm home movie footage - park, skydivers, Epcot Center (?), a synagogue, home BBQVegan Pop Tarts2020-11-23 | Here's some more random 8mm film footage for y'all to sink your teeth into. If this was shot at Epcot, it would be have been filmed sometime after 1982. Again, I am too lazy to crop or edit it so it's just a raw video file lol.
The story behind this is that it was supposed to be a cartoon film, but it was in the wrong box. The seller didn't know because they don't own an 8mm projector. So I just scanned the film and here it is. The seller was really cool about it & I was able to send the film back.
If you know anything about elements featured in this footage, please let me know, especially if you recognize the family at the end. Maybe we can find them so that I can send them a DVD of this! I'm trying to see if the seller knows the family.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!People riding horses - Random Super 8 home movie footageVegan Pop Tarts2020-09-07 | This bit of film came with an empty super 8 film reel that I ordered a little while ago. The seller sent the film to me for free. I don't know what era it took place in or where this takes place, just that it was recorded on super 8. Judging from the cars, maybe it's the 70s? I scanned it and this is the film in its entirety. I am also too lazy to crop it! Lol! Enjoy, everyone. :)Herman and Katnip Drinks on the MouseVegan Pop Tarts2020-09-05 | This is another VHS rip from a home VHS recording. Does anyone know if this is the censored version too? Also, what exactly was censored out of this cartoon for the DVD release? Ethnic stereotypes?
I can't even remember if I uploaded this to my channel already! So I'm just going to upload everything that I can so that you folks can check it out. The prints might be different. The quality is probably better if I already uploaded this cartoon or on someone else's channel, but here it is. Ripped from someone's home recorded VHS. Enjoy and have a great day everybody!
After the fade into black at the end of this video, the cartoon starts. Since it's silent, there are added dialogue cards here and there. I'm not sure if I can upload the entire cartoon or not without getting a copyright strike, so just use your imagination. I imagine the 16mm home movie version of this has color and a sound strip. If you happen to own any 16mm Pictoreels Happy Harmonies cartoons, please let me know.
As a side note, I was doing research for work a few months ago on copyright statuses of every Terrytoons cartoon. As I was doing that, I saw the copyright renewal entry for "The Discontented Canary", so that cartoon IS copyrighted and is not public domain like everyone thinks. HOWEVER, the Pictoreels print of that cartoon has NO copyright notice, making that version public domain. (Because of laws at the time, film distributors had to put a copyright notice on everything or else it would automatically be public domain.) So ooo, Pictoreels screwed up! It looks like they remembered to put a copyright notice on this print here.
As you can see, folks, I got a film scanner! I can only scan 8mm & super 8 films right now. For 16mm, I have to send them off to get scanned by a photo lab or record them playing on my wall lol.

Hope you're all doing well!
Here is "The Big Drip" from the 40s. Buzzy the Crow has a cameo in this cartoon. I wish he was in it longer, but eh, it's cool anyway. The ending to this cartoon cuts off abruptly. VHS rip.
The quality is not the best because my copy of this video is apparently in a state of decay, as are other Terrytoons VHS that were made by this crappy brand, Video Treasures, who they got to distribute their cartoons on video in the 80s. If you have any Terrytoons VHS from Video Treasures, be sure to digitize them right away! I can digitize Terrytoons videos for you as well. Let me know.
So I managed to acquire a near-complete set of these tapes recently. Every opening has been the same so far. They just change out whose name is on the card at the movie theater entrance (at 0:33 ), depending on which tape it is. As you can see, this is the Bugs Bunny video.
If I find some more cool stuff, I'll upload it. Enjoy! :)
Lately I've also been collecting old Terrytoons videos because it's fun! What's so sad is that half of them don't even work anymore! If they do work, they usually have bad tracking problems towards the bottom of the picture. :/ Some of them shake up and down so badly that it makes them unwatchable. Do any of you know what I can do about those? I never have these kinds of problems with Disney or Warner Bros videos. It's so sad that this is literally the only way to collect any classic Terrytoons on official releases and they're decaying at a rapid pace. I will keep looking for Terrytoons videos that actually work and digitize them for all of you. I have some Gandy Goose and Heckle and Jeckle that I plan to upload when I can (quality is not the best because of decay). I highly doubt it because it seems like Viacom doesn't even care about these cartoons, but I hope that we can get some kind of official collections on DVD or Blu-ray someday.1954 Herman and Katnip - Rail Rodents - tv printVegan Pop Tarts2020-02-02 | From the Harveytoons ShowLooney Tunes Presents Tweety Tweet and Lovely VHS openingVegan Pop Tarts2020-01-27 | Pretty sure this is exactly the same as the other LTP Tweety Home Sweet Home video opening. Again, this is owned by Warner Bros. Uploaded for archival purposes. I can't upload the actual cartoons because I'll get copyright strikes.
I got some Heckle and Jeckle videos! I plan to upload them for all of you as soon as I can. They're so much fun to watch. This is a great video to get if you collect Looney Tunes because some of the cartoons on it haven't been released on DVD or Blu-ray yet.

This has been saved on my hard drive for a long time and I've been meaning to upload it here. I have 2 more Looney Tunes Presents video openings that I plan to upload, along with some other stuff from my collection.
This is owned by Warner Bros. It's just here for archival purposes. I didn't do anything to improve the video quality for this one either.
I love this cartoon. I love the chain smoking cat! That's so funny.
PSA from Vegan Pop Tarts: This cartoon has had its copyright renewed and is owned by Viacom. If you see some moron trying to sell it on a bootleg DVD or whatever, please know that it is an illegal product. If you would like to own this cartoon, please buy the official Mighty Mouse VHS tapes. They're cheap and fun to watch.
Word to yo granny.Deputy Dawg in Friend FoxVegan Pop Tarts2020-01-23 | This is a rip from an official Terrytoons VHS tape in my collection. I didn't do anything to edit / fix the video quality. I might start collecting more Deputy Dawg videos because I really like Terrytoons & Deputy Dawg. I plan to upload a few more Terrytoons here as I find and digitize them.
Public service announcement from Vegan Pop Tarts: This cartoon has had its copyright renewed and is owned by Viacom. So if you see any nincompoop pirates trying to sell it on a bootleg DVD or whatever, please know that it is an illegal product. If you would like to own a copy of this cartoon, please buy the original Deputy Dawg VHS tapes. There are about 6 official DD videos that were released in the US and they're inexpensive. They're groovy!

I apologize for the bad video quality. I just dropped $135 on this new A/V recording device and the video output is total crap! -_- I thought that it might have been potential deterioration in my VHS tapes, so I hooked it up to my GameCube to see how well it would do, and I'm not happy with the results.
If this is your first time seeing GameCube, the video quality is not this bad. It had bright colors with lovely color palettes, and it wasn't overly red or blue to the point where it hurts your eyes like in this video.
Anyway, thanks for watching and enjoy. :) I hope you like watching the video despite the bad quality recording. If you like watching me play stuff like this, let me know. I might upload some more gaming videos.Casper - Boo Moon - With Weird Paramount TitlesVegan Pop Tarts2020-01-14 | For those of you who are really into this stuff, look what I found! UwU
Some differences I noticed about this print: * The beginning with the Casper logo has different music. It sounds like the early Noveltoons Casper cartoons. * The ending has the Paramount logo. * It's also longer than the TV print from the Harveytoons show. (If you want to see that, it's the extremely nice looking print of this cartoon that's all over YouTube.) I wonder if the TV print is time compressed or something. What do you think?
Every once in a while, some jerk comments "Upload original titles, %$#F@!" or something similar on my Harveytoons videos. Um, I don't have them, mmk? Quit it. This stuff isn't exactly easy to find and I actually have a life, unlike YouTube trolls. If you have the tech to do it, go dig through some old VHS tapes to look for original titles and digitize them. Better yet, if you have the money, buy some actual film prints. See if you can find original titles on those.
For those of you who are really nice and polite here (most of y'all!), then I hope you enjoy the video! :)Helping a sick bee part 2Vegan Pop Tarts2019-12-28 | Part 2 of yesterday's video. Ugh! I actually did remaster this one, but it just enhanced the blue-green colors. If the actual print is faded, there isn't much that I can do about it to fix it. I might be able to add a color filter or something maybe? I tried to do color correction too, but it just made everything red. Anyway, this is what happens when you don't brush your teeth. The little elf in your mouth falls asleep and cartoon blobs start destroying everything.
