A 12min video is not a "quickie". Sorry for that.
But if after 12 minutes I only managed to explain the basics of how to play the game, it shows how complex it really is.
If you tried Densha de Go! before, or wanted to try it sometime, knowing the basic rules can really help, as it's easy to play it and get discouraged by how fast you can get a game over.
Turns out it's harder than most people think, but also more enjoyable once you know what you're doing.
I might have missed one or two things, or not be completely accurate about the rules, but there are other videos out there that cover detailed sign explanation and other extra rules.
