Hi everyone!
My favorite genres to read are: Classics, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery/Thriller, Classic Horror (not too scary!), Nature/Environment, Health, History and Speculative/Paranormal Romance.
On my channel, you'll find cozy reading vlogs that highlight some of the natural beauty I see outside on my daily walks around our farm.
I try to post 2 vlogs per month as well as a reading wrap up at the end of each month (I sometimes get behind, though!) :)
I am working on doing more individual books reviews and tags as well as participating in some reading events as well.
I hope you enjoy my channel and thank you so much for stopping by!
- Farrah :-)

Hi everyone!
I am still working on reading more of my own books and trying hard not to purchase any more books until the challenge is over in Nov 2024.
Just wanted to share my thoughts as I've made it to the halfway point and I've learned a few things about myself as a reader (and book buyer) along the way!
I am very happy to be doing this challenge and finally making a true effort to focus on my own books, but I definitely miss a few things like more impulse reading from the library and perusing through thrift stores for bookish treasures.
I would love to know if any of you are still doing the RWYO challenge and how it's going for you! :)

I wanted to share with you my thoughts about how the Read What You Own Challenge is going for me at around the 3 month mark. I succumbed to temptation and ended up picking up a few books for my classics and wildlife collection. Whoops! ;)
Reading Challenges Mentioned:
Read What You Own Challenge hosted by Criminolly (and others): youtube.com/watch?v=qfXdxiwMnWY&t=12s
My Read What You Own Plan: youtube.com/watch?v=UNmhg0zkI00&t=7s
My Rules:
1. Try to read 35-40 books from my book shelf for the challenge (it will likely take me all year).
2. Pick 3 physical books from my shelves per month (mix up the genres).
3. After I've read 3 of MY books for the month, I can get the rest from the library (or Libby app) that I feel inspired to read because of Booktube.
4. Be good about DNFing a book by page 50 if I'm not loving it.
5. One birthday bookstore buying spree is allowed. :)
6. Thrifting classics and Agatha Christie as part of my reading challenges is ok. If I see one that clearly meets a specific reading event I want to do (like Garbaugust, Historathan, etc), that's ok too.
7. I'm still allowing myself to get 2 books total from the library/Libby app for a reading event if I feel inspired and I don't already have books for the event.
Extra Rule:
8. Be flexible and have fun! Even just reading 5-10 books that you own is a win! Don't be hard on yourself if you want to still buy a book. Just do it. Life's too short. :)
