PokéRAP GS - Rare Alternative Video DRFPokemon 2017-09-18 | To be honest, I know almost nothing about this, and my main purpose of uploading it is to see if anybody else knows anything.I downloaded this video years and years ago, probably around 2004 or 2005, from one of the Pokémon filesharing IRC servers. It was named something inconspicuous and I thought I was downloading a small encode of the actual video we got on DVD.But when I went to watch it, I was shocked to find it was totally different! The audio is the same, and the actual rap portions with the Pokémon's names are the same, along with most of the "filler" segments, but almost all of the parts where they spell out POKÉMON are different.The quality sucks, but that's 2004 for you. The original file was a 320x240 RealMedia file shrunk to only 10MB. I'm sorry I don't have anything better.My only possible clue is that it has a WB watermark, indicating that this MIGHT have aired on Kids' WB at some point. But I've also seen completely fanmade pirate videos where they just stick a watermark on top to make it appear authentic, so I can't really even use that as definitive proof. We know that Meowth's Party was aired on Kids' WB at some point in the past, and also possibly Type: Wild (and again, sadly we only have really awful RealMedia encodes of them ...)I think it's possible that this was the final video that we were meant to see, but that when WB decided to release it on DVD, they weren't finished yet. To my knowledge, the only home video release the full-length PokéRAP GS got in the USA is as a special feature on the third Pokémon movie. And at the end of that clip, it has a little text saying they intend to air it during the 4th season - which never did end up happening! But this leads me to think that they changed some of the video portion around before showing it on TV, and what everybody's seen on the DVD is actually an unfinished version. I will put up a side-by-side later.Any info whatsoever about this would be appreciated. But I thought I should share this from my repository since it's probably been lost in the abyss by now, luckily I kept all my files from back then and stumbled across it again 10+ years later.

Pokémon Chronicles US Opening DRFPokemon 2023-05-14 | For some reason, when Pokémon Chronicles finally got TV airings here in the United States, they completely redid the opening song. In the UK, where it aired quite a bit earlier, they used the PokéRAP GS song instead. I have no idea what music this is, and it's a lot less catchy, but here it is, un-cropped unlike the other video I saw on YouTube already.

Sometime in 2001, 4KIDS made an English version with Maddie Blaustein as Meowth, and it aired on Kids WB.I do not have any more context than that. This file has been going around the internet for close to 20 years, it's a 320x240 RealMedia file (yuck), a product of its time. But here's some proof that it exists - and unlike the "Perfect Best" DVD released in Japan, there are no on-screen lyrics of any language in this.I really don't know when it aired, but it would have had to be in 2001 or maybe early 2002. The watermark makes it pretty obvious that it was on Kids WB. If you have ANY VHS recordings of Pokémon from Kids WB, please let me know, I would be happy to pay postage for you to send them to me to check! I will return them!

Pokémon Episode 37 Advertisements, Including Porygon Episode NEP DRFPokemon 2019-06-04 | I have no idea where this came from. Presumably somebody who recorded the first airing of Pocket Monsters episode 37 on a VHS tape, and later digitized it when they realized the material was valuable.The next-episode preview for the Porygon episode begins at 8:12. I did upload this clip already - however, this is the full uncut source material.These are some very strange advertisements indeed. Just to give you a taste of what advertisements were like in the 90s during anime shows. Notice how several of these advertisements have lots of fast flashing sequences, which was precisely the problem the Porygon episode had! I'm willing to bet these ads were redone after the seizure incident.If you happen to know who recorded this or how the file came to be shared across IRC channels in the early 2000s, please let me know. Pokémon Type: WILD (English Version) DRFPokemon 2019-05-23 | This is a very rare clip that was found on Pokémon file-sharing groups many years ago.This English version of Type: Wild was aired during Pokémon Encore, a Japanese series of bilingual (Japanese/English) repeats of Pokémon episodes. The credits show this is from the airing of episode 16 (Pokémon Shipwrecked) which aired on Feb. 15, 2000. Some content from Pokémon Encore may have gone on to form the "Pokémon de English" DVDs, however this particular closing song was not included.The full-length English version of this song is available on a CD single, however the only videos in existence have Japanese lyrics on the bottom of the screen, while this one has them in English! Sadly, due to its age, the 320x240 resolution is as good as I can provide. If anyone happened to record this on a VHS or something similar please contact me!

Dennou Senshi Porygon: Rare Next-Episode Preview DRFPokemon 2012-05-22 | This is an incredibly rare clip; the "next episode preview" showing the infamous Porygon episode titled Dennou Senshi Porygon. This was the 38th episode in the series which was banned after airing only once, due to causing seizures.This would have come from the very original TV airing of the 37th episode, Ditto's Mysterious Mansion (not sure of its Japanese name). It is so rare because every re-airing (which are what people have recorded... VCRs were all that existed in 1997!) was edited to show the preview for episode 39, since 38 was never spoken of again.I know the quality is terrible... considering nobody was able to find this clip AT ALL until recently, it's all we've got. I'm hoping someone will remake it using clips from that episode itself.

Bonsly - Proof that Pokémon Names Are Said Wrong DRFPokemon 2011-12-16 | I think this one should speak for itself.Bonsly is one of the only Pokémon I have seen that's pronounced differently between the two dubs (4KIDS and Pokémon USA who took over after season 8)Personally, I say it "Bons-lie", the way they say it in Battle Frontier. But this is solid proof that you can't just assume the dub is correct... for both 4KIDS and Pokémon USA are official dubs and they clearly say it differently.

Pokémon Diamond: Battle Tower Glitch DRFPokemon 2009-04-29 | So, I discovered this glitch (among other variants) when using a "walk through anything" cheat on my Pokémon Diamond game.I started inside Battle Tower, then just kept walking to the left, and look what the locations show! Mystery Zone, then several places including Floaroma Meadow! I'm not sure how the game is programmed but this is odd indeed. I've even gotten to places such as Jubilife City where you can use Fly and such... by doing this.(Incidentally, when using an Action Replay, the Battle Tower is the ONLY place you can't walk through walls with, you have to walk backwards through the door for it to take effect. What I did was use a variant of the code that you press R and B to turn it on.)
Pokémon Red/Blue: Mew Glitch (Weird Variant) DRFPokemon 2009-04-21 | This is a weird variation I found to the infamous "Mew Glitch" in Pokémon Red and Blue (and Yellow). Basically, the glitch is not really a Mew glitch, but "Encounter any random level 7 Pokémon"... and fighting the kid with a Slowpoke generates a Mew. (It's really based on the Special stat of whoever you fight last) So if you get in a battle with anyone else, a different Pokémon will show up. (In this case, Gengar.) Now, in order to get the dialog box instead of the Start menu popping up (as commonly shown), you have to Teleport back to the Pokémon Center AND HEAL YOUR POKÉMON. If you just walk over to the route, or even Teleport and not heal, it'll be exactly the same as all the other videos, with a Gengar instead of Mew. I'm not sure why, but somehow healing your Pokémon in between makes a different dialog box come up instead of the Start Menu, and it's really quite interesting. This is NOT a ROM... It was recorded using the real game cartridge, being played on a Game Boy Player. All copyrights to the Pokémon series and games belong to Nintendo.
