AMD Fluid Motion Frames | Tested ON Ally

Filterless 2024-01-15 | PROMISING, but needs time to bake 🔥. Frame generation on the Ally still needs some work. The main culprit is input lag. There is also a decent amount of artifcating depending on how fast the camera is moving.

Gyro works great! | ROG Ally

Filterless 2023-12-02 | Asus is still going strong 💪. The Ally just got the Gyro update, and CPU Boost toggle, Joystick Sensitivity Curve, AMD Options in AC and more. All we need now is a TDP slider and/or button that let's us toggle between different watt settings. Hopefully without the really high fan curve we see in manual mode.

Filterless 2023-08-15 | 900p makes a HUGE difference. Looks almost like 1080p with better performance. One of the best tweaks I've made to the system so far. Enjoy! :)

ROG Ally | SD Card Reader FAILED

I'm almost positive that I ran into an issue that seems to be plaguing people with the SD Card reader. My take is that there is enough heat to not only destroy SD Cards, but be able to ruin the SD Card Reader itself.

I ran through enough tests where I'm convinced it's a hardware issue. I hope it's not and I hope there is a driver, or some update that can be released. But with the testing I did, I returned my unit as I believe there could be additional failures due to heat.

I hope everyones units hold up well. I just wanted to put this out as soon as possible though for people that might be experience similar issues.

Unfortunately I've run mine in Turbo many times where the system is hitting 95c because I've been benchmarking it (which I think could be part of it). After all the benchmarking and testing, I recommend disabling cpu boost and setting manual power levels, especially now with what happened to mine (see links below):

Filterless 2023-06-24 | Here is a video showing why disabling CPU boost can help out a ton. Asus likes to boost the CPU way too much for no reason, when disabled everything functions better. Better temperatures, battery life, and even performance. I've owned probably a dozen Asus Laptops with AMD CPU's and every single one of them suffer from this same issue. Luckily in this video it's a quick fix and can easily be turned on/off to your liking.
