Today it is my great pleasure to present Obliquatur from the Philippines, with the band’s debut release, Dalisay.

An album of raw atmospheric black metal that churns with a ferocious melancholy and poignant spite, spaced with interludes of dungeon synth and plaintive ambience founded on this artist’s synth project, Mythic Blade.

A real rush of a release that melds the US style of melancholic violence with searing cantering rhythms and noise, engulfing tracks in a ravenous static like swarms of cicadas that give those interludes greater sense of respite.
