This season is taking us to the hot lands of Arabia... or what's left of it. Everything is in flames, the defenses have been breached and the ancient relic of the kingdom lies shattered; but at least the music is great as always. For this occasion it looks like Ubisoft is going for rather smoothed dirty loops, so getting a clean recording was rather tricky, but with some clipping between different takes I managed to make one for you all. What you're listening to now is the full version of the face off theme for the season 24 of For Honor, released on December 15th.

Year 6 Season 4: Shattered Fates introduces a new chapter in For Honor's ongoing story. For centuries, the kingdom of Arabia has remained isolated from the inhabitants of Heathmoor, any visitors being denied of entry at all times; but now with new sea routes opened by the changing climate, the Sultana of Arabia has allowed diplomatic visits to take place once again. Soon enough, her first official visit arrived: Commander Ravier of the Order of the Black Priors. The ambassador has been sent with two missions: earn the trust of Arabia's ruler and her kingdom, and get access to an ancient relic housed in those lands, an sphere able to show visions of the future to whoever holds it - the secret to the success of the kingdom amongst the dunes. After some months of manipulation, Ravier finally got her way, and she got one vision from the sphere, a glimpse into the future of Heathmoor and the war being waged on it. With the perfect strategy for the Priors to conquer their homeland, the commander quickly proceeded to destroy the artifact, burn the national library to the ground, and everyone in it. Surely, with how well organized the Arabians are, they should be able to appoint a new Sultana once they find out what happened to the current one, instead of plummeting into chaos... right?

This season has brought us some music that is rather... spooky? It was quite fitting for October, if you ask me. Even more so, considering the story that has taken place during those months. What you're listening to now is the full version of the main menu theme used for the "Web of the Jorogumo" event of For Honor, released on October 20th.

The "Web of the Jorogumo" event introduces the second half of the 23rd chapter in For Honor's ongoing story. Motoori's incursion went south when the mastermind behind the invasion suddenly stepped into the fray: Jorogumo, a giant spider/human halfling has taken the Market Place, its inhabitants and Motoori hostage! It is now up to the kensei Meiko, Motoori's older sister, to wield the power of the Demon Dagger and slash through the monstrosities weaved by the spider demon in order to rescue the town as well as her brother, and put an end to the invasion; but the more demon souls the dagger traps in it, the harder it gets to keep things under control. Thankfully, several warriors of Heathmoor are willing to assist her in this horrific endeavor, so she can focus on the big targets. Iron and Draconite will clash against demon flesh and claws, ripping and tearing until the job is done!

What you're listening to now is the full version of the main menu theme for the season 23 of For Honor, released on September 15th.

Year 6 Season 3: The Demon Dagger introduces a new chapter in For Honor's ongoing story. Long ago in the land of the samurai, the souls of the damned walked on the earth, wreaking havoc amongst the people. That is, until a group of brave warriors stepped forth to oppose them, sealing them all deep inside a cave, and living to tell the tale. However, some centuries later, their warnings have all been forgotten; and due to a fissure in the cave those demons from the past have escaped, bringing death and mayhem once more, this time in Temple Garden. It is up to Motoori, a local Orochi, alongside a group of survivors, to stop the menace and send those monsters back to the depths they came from; this with help of a special knife able to trap the souls of those monsters. But wielding such magic devices for long comes with a rather nasty price...

My apologies for taking a while with these! I was busy with both IRL matters and a couple of FNF projects, things got so bad I had to put everything aside for a moment in order to speedrun the event pass in a single week!

Convincing him to leave with her wasn't easy, for his curse was a serious problem; however Lofie's resolve did not falter for a single second. Now with her brother Radi by her side, Lofie can sing with him one more time. This is the radioactive hothead and his sweet sister in Serendipity! Or Serendipity but Radi sings it with Lofie. A couple of weeks ago I decided I wanted to do an experiment for my next cover, taking a glimpse into an hypothetical parallel timeline where, during the transition from Vs Agoti to Entity, the old Sega Genesis voice wasn't dropped but instead something similar was used for Aldryx as well. What could Agoti's brother have sounded like in this scenario? After fiddling with the plugin for long enough I'd like to think I have found an answer. This is the black parasite and his brother the red parasite in Screenplay! Or Screenplay but Aldryx sings it with a classic Genny voice. Given certain limitations put in place for this song in particular, I have made my own soundtrack for it this time. Hopefully it will have been worth the effort.

I was expecting to get this ready sooner, but it turns out I underestimated the labor of putting a full soundtrack, a new voice and note mapping all together. It was more job than what I could do in a week, oops! Sorry.

I'm back with these, and boy we're on our way to Egypt this season! The livestream showed some interesting new stuff coming to For Honor, and as usual the music was a delight, so here it is! Year 6 Season 2: Curse of the Scarab introduces a new chapter in For Honor's ongoing story. In a land down south, legends speak of a bracelet, passed down from one pharaoh to the next; an artifact with such power it is able to restore life by the will of the person wielding it. After a long trip, Bolthorn, a quite skilled raider, returned to Valkenheim with the once lost and forgotten bracelet, now found on his arm. With it, he planned to leverage those ancient powers in order to tip the tides of battle in favor of his kin. However, the raider was in for a nasty surprise: the artifact does restore life indeed, but it does so by taking other life away in the process, and prolonged use of the bracelet does come with a price, a curse cast on its user and the people nearby. With an unknown sickness, a forecast of raining frogs at noon, and lots of sand everywhere, Bolthorn must now face the evil he has unknowingly unleashed upon Heathmoor. Perhaps the artifact had been abandoned all of those years ago for a reason. If only they had left a warning written in something other than those weird hieroglyphs...

I'm back with these, and boy we're on our way to Egypt this season! The livestream showed some interesting new stuff coming to For Honor, and as usual the music was a delight, so here it is! What you're listening to now is the full version of the main menu theme for the season 22 of For Honor, to be released on June 16th.

Year 6 Season 2: Curse of the Scarab introduces a new chapter in For Honor's ongoing story. In a land down south, legends speak of a bracelet, passed down from one pharaoh to the next; an artifact with such power it is able to restore life by the will of the person wielding it. After a long trip, Bolthorn, a quite skilled raider, returned to Valkenheim with the once lost and forgotten bracelet, now found on his arm. With it, he planned to leverage those ancient powers in order to tip the tides of battle in favor of his kin. However, the raider was in for a nasty surprise: the artifact does restore life indeed, but it does so by taking other life away in the process, and prolonged use of the bracelet does come with a price, a curse cast on its user and the people nearby. With an unknown sickness, a forecast of raining frogs at noon, and lots of sand everywhere, Bolthorn must now face the evil he has unknowingly unleashed upon Heathmoor. Perhaps the artifact had been abandoned all of those years ago for a reason. If only they had left a warning written in something other than those weird hieroglyphs...

After two weeks being too busy for me to work in any new covers, I needed to come back with something funky; then I remembered I had yet to make any new covers featuring Funky Kong. Well, here's the funky dude singing one of the funkiest songs I know, against the good Cuphead! This is the funky monke and the smug cupboy in Technicolor Tussle! Or Technicolor Tussle but Funky sings it with Cuphead. While I still don't have any fighting mechanics scripted, I did add a little gag in the middle of the song for laughs and giggles. Enjoy the show!

After the release of Hazy River I couldn't be happier. The mod in question is both a homage and a remaster of sorts for Smoke them out Struggle and Vs Atsuover, two of my favorite mods, specially SeoS. And with that, of course, came the wish to make a cover featuring the protagonists of both mods together, so here it is: Annie and Garcello give us a show in the big city by singing "Take a Swig of This!", a song that is kind of short but also quite fun. This is Take a Swig of This but Garcello sings it with Annie! Even tho one could assume this is just a friendly match, Annie is certainly going to play her cards on it.

Year 6 Season 1: Golden Age (Face off OST theme) - For Honor Music

DragShot 2022-04-23 | The latest season reveal livestream arrived quite later than expected, only two days before the update, so this time I decided to just wait until the season began in order to record the music right then and there. Interestingly enough, there are some noticeable differences between the official OST and the in-game versions of the music this season. What you're listening to now is the full version of the face off theme for the season 21 of For Honor, released on March 17th.

Year 6 Season 1: Golden Age introduces a new chapter in For Honor's ongoing story. Soon after the arrival of the Pirates, they got on their search for an old treasure, a lost relic that once it was found, unearthed a tale from days long gone: back in the days before the Cataclysm, there was a knight who set onto ensuring no harm would come to his home, caught in the middle of a great war. So, he ventured alone into the vast wilderness, to places where no other warrior had dared before, in search for the power and experience he needed. Eventually, he met a Wyvern, a mythical creature of powers beyond anyone's imagination, with whom he made a blood pact that rendered him virtually immortal. With his newfound strength and a formidable ally by his side, he returned to his hometown, Wyverndale, and together they watched over the place for generations, making of it a safe and prosperous place to live in. He would be known as Lord Ramiel, the First Warden of Heathmoor.

Ever since his release from imprisonment in the game, Spirit decided to stay with his newfound friend; however, while they grew close, his resentment towards the Dearest and his wishes of revenge never faltered. Now the lost soul has decided it's time for some retribution, but first, he's going to need a host.

Surely, his friend could lend a hand; but that's going to take some convincing.

There can't be two without a third, so here's another round of Whitty and Julian singing together. Unlike most mashups floating out there, however, I got them both to sing the actual song instead of just copy-pasting their vocals from a different song. This is the walking bomb and the homeless guitar guy in Low Rise! Or Low Rise but Whitty sings it for real. Their voices are indeed quite similar, but there is a little difference in depth I hope some of you guys will be able to tell apart.

At first I wasn't sure if I was coming in too late for this, but after searching around I realized there were only mashups of Whitty and Julian together singing Underground in tandem with Overhead, not covers that follow the actual notes... until now. This is the walking bomb and the homeless guitar guy in Underground! Or Underground but Whitty sings it for real. Their voices are indeed quite similar, but there is a little difference in depth I hope some of you guys will be able to tell apart.

Even though I made Whitty follow the song's chart, I put in a few leimotifs from Overhead, the song Underground comes from. There are also a couple of details in the gameplay that hopefully you will find amusing.

At first I was thinking to skip this cover, but due to a sudden situation outside of my channel and a working set of samples I was given, I changed my mind and decided to go with it: watch the cursed scarecrow and the blazing manager have a rematch, this time with Godrays! In case you're wondering what situation I'm talking about, my family is going on a trip this weekend, and I can't sit out of it (nor I would like to, tbh), so I will be out for about a week. A random comment proposed this, and to be honest I really liked the idea: can't get rid of the nasty bush? Call an entity who is literally on fire... blue fire nonetheless, and who can also help you sort the paperwork afterwards. This sounds like the perfect job for Solazar, Zardy and co won't know what blinded them! So much for needing a lantern in the darkness, uh? This is the flaming manager and the cursed scarecrow in Foolhardy! Or Foolhardy but Solazar sings it. Gameplay included.

To be honest, I wanted to make Solazar sing one octave lower as usual; but I found out his voice clashed a lot with the instrumental and it was really hard to hear, so I had no other option than to go with the regular octave. Funnily enough, Solazar sounds pretty similar to Zardy as result. Also, I just realized I could change the channel's name to "DragShot" without affecting its custom URL all along, so I did it lol. Finally, the funny watermarks make more sense now.
