Note the strap change in late 1997 where the strap became longer and adjustable as seen on many styles this time!

Vintage Coach Eyecandy 2025-03-15 | Believe it or not, the City Bag was not introduced by Coach until the Spring of 1987! An iconic silhouette, the City Bag became iconic fast and appeared to be made into the early 2000’s. The Vintage Coach City Bag Spectator #6790 was introduced in the Fall of 1989.Thanks to a lovely watcher, an error was pointed out! I stated early in the video that the City Bag has a style #9785. The very first introduction of this bag shows this style number but it was an error! At the same time, the #9785 Zipper Tote was introduced and they must have been mixed up! Coach corrected it in the Fall 1987 Catalog.

How to Test for Paint on your Vintage Coach Leather & Vintage Coach Safari Tote and Paint Removal. Vintage Coach Eyecandy 2023-10-13 | In this video I try to show you how I test a Vintage Coach Bag for Paint or Polish. Sometimes it is obvious but some times, not so much.Does your bag feel off? Not respond to leather conditioner (with adequate time for it to do so)? Do you see signs of paint? Demarcations? Inner leather is different? Color on hardware? I saw some of these things on my Rare Vintage Metal Tag Coach Bag and I was NERVOUS to test it out. Sadly, it was true and I could not let the bag continue as is, unable to be cared for or flourish. I believe this bag had been painted lightly to give a more even look, was used and was left with scratch marks onto the paint. Time to let her breathe and live another 60 years!
