However, one thing that goes undiscussed when it comes to said localizations is the names of the series' playable styles. Very rarely has there been an opportunity to see the original names of these styles without owning a Japanese copy of the game, or seeking out the Japanese trailers for said games. This changes now, with this hopefully being a way for the community at large to get a look at the shocking amount of thought that goes into translating such an innocuous and minor part of these massive collections of text and culture. Outside of Kiryu, this may well be considered the final boss of playable styles in the Yakuza series, at least in terms of describing just how well it functions. No beating around the bush here, Akiyama is phenomenal, so much so that even his transition into a legacy boss in Yakuza 6 provides me with more than enough to read into to make up for his lacking showing in Yakuza 5.
