We were not sure how hard it would be but what we did was easy , you can make it as hard as you wish as they have various levels of glacier hiking to ice wall climbing . Then we went to see the black sands of Reynisfjara Beach, that also has Hálsanefshellir Cave.Sólheimajökull:Sólheimajökull is a glacier in southern Iceland, between the volcanoes Katla and Eyjafjallajökull. Part of the larger Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Sólheimajökull is a prominent and popular tourist location owing to its size and relative ease of access.Reynisfjara Beach:With its enormous basalt stacks, roaring Atlantic waves, and stunning panoramas, Reynisfjara is widely considered to be the most beautiful example of Iceland’s black sand beaches. In 1991, National Geographic voted Reynisfjara as one of the Top 10 non-tropical beaches to visit on the planet.Hálsanefshellir Cave:A huge sea cave located at the beach close to the small town Vík. The cave is exceptional because of octagonal basalt pillars at the cave entrance.

Where we stayed:Hótel Vellir Tjarnarvellir 3, 221 Hafnarfjörður, Iceland at the time of our stay approx. £120 a night inc of breakfast A kilometre from Keilir Golf Club next to the Atlantic Ocean, this casual hotel is 2.5 km from the Hellisgerði park and 38 km from Keflavík International Airport.Breakfast and parking are complimentary.What we visited in this part of our visit :Situated on the hilltop Skólavörðuholt [ˈskouːlaˌvœrðʏˌhɔl̥t] near the centre of Reykjavík, the church is one of the city's best-known landmarks and is visible throughout the city. State Architect Guðjón Samúelsson's design of the church was commissioned in 1937. He is said to have designed it to resemble the trap rocks, mountains and glaciers of Iceland's landscape, in particular its columnar basalt "organ pipe" formations (such as those at Svartifoss). The design is similar in style to the expressionist architecture of Grundtvig's Church of Copenhagen, Denmark, completed in 1940, which has been described as a likely influence, alongside the expressionist Kirche am Hohenzollernplatz in Berlin, Germany (completed in 1933).Architecturally, Hallgrímskirkja consists of three parts: The tower with the distinctly curved side wings which house service facilities, a nave in more traditional architecture, and a sanctuary at the other end of the nave, whose cylindrical shape has been described as evoking Viking war helmets.[2] Hallgrímskirkja also has a 244 ft (74.37 meters) dome.Inside the church you can light a candle for a dead family member for 100 ISK Hallgrímskirkja is best described as a piece of Expressionist architecture because of its tower-like exterior, its rejection of traditional styles and its dynamic design.[6][2] It was heavily influenced by another building, Grundtvigskirken. My two kids have been wild camping in amazing places as well and always happy to camp anywhere we find that's suitable. This is my wife's first time, she's not really into the wild camping thing (which is fine). It all started well and all were having a grand old time until we started to be ready to sleep , then we had to moo-ve it due to some very unwelcome visitors .
