This means that the speed of scrolling in MIDITrail is based on the BPM of the MIDI. When the BPM speeds up, the speed of MIDITrail as a whole increases, and when it slows down, the speed of MIDITrail as a whole decreases. You can see some creators like Han SeRin take advantage of this by adding strategic BPM changes for theatric effect. This is in contrast to a scroll player like Piano from Above or Synthesia where the scroll speed is completely constant and the note's size is scaled relative to the BPM. What Minelolpride discovered in these "variable speed scrolling" tick-based MIDI players is that one could abuse the scrolling mechanics by making the BPM really fast for a short period of time, causing the MIDI to essentially "skip ahead". In standard scroll players, the notes become extremely dense and clustered, but in tick-based players like the one shown in this video, the entire score moves forward. Using these principles, it is possible to achieve stop motion in tick-based MIDI players under the right circumstances. Naturally, this would invoke black MIDI remixes of these pieces. The base MIDI for this impossible remix originates from the well-known kakakakaito1998 (now defunct), reuploaded by TSMB2 here: youtube.com/watch?v=POuPWneYap8In late 2012, TSMB2 blackened kakaka's MIDI into a 180,000 note remix (youtube.com/watch?v=2sXyivZDw_M) until he made the 1.1 million remix shown here. He is one of my favourite newer blackers in the team with a killer work ethic, encompassing over 250 hours into this black MIDI over the course of 12 months. He spent 30 hours alone on his video, so you should check that out (and perhaps add the MIDI to your collection / make a video of it -- though make sure you credit him correctly!).I tried very hard to play this MIDI on Synthesia, but it was simply too laggy and I was running out of time. This is basically a really detailed version of those "song to MIDI" videos you see online. This time I converted the colours to match those of an RGB spectrogram. Despacito but converted to a [Black MIDI] with 4.1 million notes Gingeas 2018-05-26 | Using W2M, you can actually hear the lyrics of the Despacito music video (by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee, not the Justin Bieber one)I am using a program made by ζ’¦εΉ»noδΊΊη, a member of the Chinese black MIDI community.Don't watch if you are prone to seizures . . . please.The program was written in Python and uses fast-fourier transform (FFT) in order to convert the original song into notes. It is similar to the MP3-to-MIDI conversion stuff you'd find online, but this one is much more detailed and sounds much more realistic in my opinion. The program is not public and as such I must respect the original developer's wishes by not distributing it. If you wish to download the program, ask other people who are involved in the distribution of the program (like Ryan 0201 or ooo 000) and they might give you the Discord server link to download it. The TCABS showcased in this video supersedes the previous ITCBS system by abandoning the notion of judging and ranking of entries - every entry in this video is in no particular order.Other than that, everything is the same with this contest - there were two pieces of music in the contest - though contestants really only blackened the first one (as shown in the video). It was around summer when I would play Ocarina of Time on my 3DS in grade 8 - I was wondering how high school would be and if it would be difficult or not. Kind of uncanny how I'm going back to Ocarina of Time again right before I enter a new school again! :)This MIDI starts off relatively piano-like with discernible portions of the melody out in the open. The SoundFont emphasizes every part of the beginning quite well. The MIDI then quickly transitions into a medley of harmonic portions that eventually lead back to the percussive style we all know and love.
