In 2015, IS fighters deliberately destroyed the library of the University of Mosul, burning thousands of books on philosophy, law, science and poetry in what UNESCO called “one of the most devastating acts of destruction of library collections in human history.”
Now, Mosul Book Bridge is working to restore the library - and we're committed to providing the books the library needs. Over 3,700 brand new books have already reached the university - and more book shipments are planned.
