This lets me quickly test motion capture trackers on different parts of the body without requiring that I put them on ME, then go stand over next to the lighthouses, then go back to the computer, etc., or move my lighthouses so my computer is right there in the middle of them. Using this amazing system, I can sit on my *ss like a proper programmer.
Also, this way the trackers can stay plugged in all the time while I'm testing.
If you want to build one yourself, it's pretty simple, but I'll put together a parts list on http://www.Glycon3d.com anyway so you only have to make one trip to the store :)

It is, as far as I'm concerned, the autodidact's dream tool.
The interactive voice mode of ChatGPT is an incredible learning tool. You can use it to learn pretty much any topic, you can learn at your own pace, and ask any questions you want. You get answers immediately, and it knows, well, nearly everything humans have published, as far as I can tell. You can ask it to teach you a concept but use analogies from another field. You can ask stupid questions. The ones you'd never ask in class, or of a friend.
It is, as far as I'm concerned, the autodidact's dream tool.
In another video I'll show how you can reverse engineer the payload on these scams to see exactly what it will do and where it's going to send the things it steals from people.
But this one is just an overview of the scam itself. In this case, they stole a politician's page, giving them immediate access to his 3.4k followers. They turned off comments, and probably used some dummy accounts to make it initially look legit.
I report these immediately after I find them. I know a lot of other people do, too. But Facebook refuses to do anything about them.
Seriously, all they'd need to do is (after catching the first scam like this), blacklist current and subsequent ads that use the same or nearly same wording, claiming to be something that isn't publicly available. Absolutely blacklist any ad that has a downloadable link in it. Require that the advertiser redirects users to their website. Require that ads can only be run from accounts that are a certain age, add some website linkback necessary to verify that the ad is legit. There are tons of ways Facebook could prevent this or at least INSTANTLY stop it once it's detected.
If I asked you for a charging cable would you say, "hang on, this will take a few minutes!" as you dig through your giant nasty wad of cables?
Say no more. Let me teach you the secret cable management trick only Vulcans knew, until now. It is only logical.

Yes I am asking for criticism here. Feel free to really let me have it. Ultimately I want this to look as good as possible, so I want to address every little thing that anyone has an issue with.
Also, I have a list of about 20 things myself that I would like to fix. So don't worry about hurting my feelings :-)
I can't talk about this project yet, but maybe in a few months. Until then though, I'm using every tool in my tool belt on it. Glycon and LightWave were used for some of the animations. And more of those are in progress. CodeWalker was even used to fix a programming bug.
I can't wait to be able to tell people about this in its entirety. But until then, again, let me know what you think I should fix!

CodeWalker is a great example of how Spatial Computing can immediately help you. You can understand software code and how it flows, as well as instantly recall parts of the code better after only seeing it once. In this video I'm showing off the markup tool. It's a new tool that will let you save "living" notes and share them with other developers.
Spatial computing, augmented reality, call it what you will, but being able to leverage the human mind's spatial awareness is a game changer for problem solving, especially in code.
The finished product WILL require that you have the desktop version of CodeWalker, because the desktop version will be responsible for doing the initial data parsing and analysis. The VR version is mostly for viewing and sharing.
I think it's nearly done. But I'm curious if you'd change anything, or if you have any suggestions for improvement.
Also, if you have a Meta Quest 2 or 3, and you'd like to take it for a spin, please shoot me a direct message and I'll add you to the group! I don't know how many slots Meta lets me have for the test group, so there might be limited availability. ie speak up if you wanna play with it!

Facebook does not have a system in place to stop fully automated scams like this, and it would be trivial for them to implement one. Just allow original owners of a page to lock down a page if it was transferred to someone else until a person can review it. Especially if it has scam links on it. That's all it would take!
Anyway, this scam relies on unsuspecting people's ability to follow some questionable steps, so they can get into your account by copying and reusing your browser's cookies. You have to manually enter this info in order for the scam to continue. It's entirely automated, so all they need is one of thousands of victims to follow the instructions, and the hack continues.
The end goal is likely holding your page hostage for money, or something along those lines.

After years of putting up with this crap I decided to leverage a bunch of that filtering and correction code and just make my own engine. So now, Glycon has something not too far off from a forward dynamics engine, but tailored specifically to the constraints of the human body. It's called Flair. And it's coming very, very soon to all existing Glycon users.
Now... what would I be doing with a forward dynamics human skeletal system... the mind wanders...

I make weird stuff. And in the process of sharing my weird stuff with the world, I've met some absolutely fascinating people. Well this channel is a celebration of both. Weird stuff, and incredible people.
And if you're here, there's a good chance you like that weird stuff too, and you're probably an incredible person. Seriously, most of the most amazing people I know, have no idea how unique they are. So I'm going to talk about that a bit more in the future, and I'm going to start interviewing them. Also, I'll be sharing more of the weird stuff I make, and occasionally dipping into more educational content.
In the recent past, this has been mostly been about Glycon3D, which is a piece of software I made, to help artists animate human characters for games, movies, and generally anything digital.
But I have a lot of other projects that I'll be discussing in more detail here as well, like the Mech Lab iPhone case, that transforms your phone into a super expandable mobile science lab. Or CodeWalker, this incredible software that reads your source code and tells you how it works, helps you find bugs, and even lets you watch your code in action.
And the human sonar project, which lets visually impaired people 'see' using something like sonar.
Or any number of weird games I'm working on. Basically, I have a ton of passion projects that I'd love to share with anyone who will spend a few minutes watching.

This is Full-Body Motion Tracking in AR/VR Using Reinforcement Learning
In this video, I'm reviewing the act of replicating a user's pose in augmented reality/virtual reality applications. Unlike most existing methods that focus on foot-floor contact alone, they take an interesting approach. They incorporate environment interaction into the mix. Imagine sitting on a couch or leaning on a desk and having your movements accurately tracked in the virtual world. But they're not tracked exactly, it's actually kinda faking it.
With the power of Reinforcement Learning, combined with physics simulation and environment observations, they show the potential to generate incredibly lifelike full-body poses even in highly constrained environments. Their physics simulation automatically enforces the necessary conditions for realistic poses. To me, machine generated art is making insane leaps forward, and I suspect that trend will only escalate. Will this usher in a new wave of creative expression, or something more sinister? Five years from now, how will this have affected things?
It is creating art based on other artists' work, and as far as I know, without their permission. This brings up a whole ton of legal questions surrounding it, and unfortunately I don't think the courts will understand how any of this works. I'm tempted to get my IP lawyer involved immediately, what do you think?
