At first, Wilkerson says she thought it was an airplane, until she it started changing colors and moving. She then called her husband outside and a few minutes later she asked her neighbor to stop by. She said her neighbor was, "amazed and he went and got his binoculars," said Wilkerson, "he thought it was a planet, until it turned yellow right before our eyes."Then Stephanie called Lower Paxton Township Police. Area 51 tour bus accidentally crosses the border into the base and gets an unfriendly welcome TheLifebeyondearth 2014-07-15 | LAS VEGAS -- A tour bus carrying visitors to the edge of the top secret Area 51 military base has done something that many people have only fantasized about doing. It crossed the line and entered the base.The driver and his four passengers learned a quick lesson about how serious Area 51 is about its boundary and its security. And the entire incident was captured on video.In the 25 years since I-Team reports first put the once unknown base on the map, tens of thousands of curious people have trekked out to take a peek.A few strayed over the line, on purpose, and were quickly scooped up. As far as we know, this is the first intrusion caught entirely on video and it nearly caused the tours to be shut down.Area 51's years in obscurity ended in 1989 when news reports about classified projects at the Nevada base set off a stampede of UFO seekers, aviation watchers, and media. The base is still a favored location for classified military projects, so security is justifiably tight.Motion detectors, high-tech cameras, the ominous cammo dudes and warning signs, which declare deadly force is authorized. The signs themselves have become photo ops, the money shot for guided outings like those operated for 15 years by Adventure Photo Tours."Some of them are just curious. They don't know what it's about. Others believe they have been abducted. Other people believe they are aliens and they want to go back out there to hopefully get back home. We get all kinds of people," Adventure Photo Tours co-owner Donna Tryon said.Tryon says the typical tour includes stops at main shrines of Area 51 lore: the ET highway sign, the Little A'le'inn, and the holy of holies, the very edge of the base itself.But there is one thing the tour most certainly does not include."Our guys make it a point to tell the passengers that, you know, you can't go over that line, and if you step over that line, you're on your own," Tryon said.But on May 28, it happened to driver Denis Ryan and his four passengers, all of it recorded, inside and out. The video shows Ryan and group having a good time, zipping toward the edge of 51.At precisely the wrong moment, one of the tourists asked Ryan a question about sports books. It was just enough of a distraction that he blew right past the warning signs, and kept on going.After 45 seconds or so, Ryan started looking around, wondering where the cammo dudes were.Less than two minutes after crossing the boundary, the passengers inform Ryan that a white truck is right on their tail."A gentleman in full military garb gets out. The one on the passenger side, he had a fully automatic rifle," Ryan said.Ryan says the military men told him he had crossed the line and was trespassing on a military installation.Inside the vehicle, the tourists, a couple from the UK and a mother and son from the East Coast, thought it was all part of the tour, actors playing their part."They said they would let the company know, 'you took us the extra mile.' They thought it was part of the whole process," Ryan said.They soon learned it was no act."I apologize for this. Those are the Men in Black," Ryan told his tour.After Lincoln County deputies arrived, the driver and passengers were pulled out, cited for trespassing, and given court dates.The projected fine: $650 apiece and a misdemeanor conviction. Co-owner Will Tryon contacted Lincoln County District Attorney Dan Hogue and tried to get the out of state passengers off the hook."We were afraid they would issue a bench warrant for these people, turn good tourists into criminals," Will Tryon said.But Hogue wasn't budging. He suspected it was done on purpose.The company decided that if the citations stuck, they would close down the tours to 51, which would be a blow to the fragile rural economy.What the DA didn't know until the I-Team contacted him is that the incident was on video. One look at video, and the expressions on these faces, and the DA knew it wasn't intentional. The driver has to pay but the passengers don't.Driver Denis Ryan is now barred for at least two years.Lincoln County has an arrangement with Area 51. It handles all trespassing cases. The DA told the I-Team that while tourism dollars are important to the county, so is the base, which generates a lot of tax revenue.After the I-Team told him about the video, the DA agreed to drop the charges against the passengers, but on one condition: that no video recorded by the van's forward camera be made public. UFO sighting Chilean Miners spot a UFO flying over Tarapacá July 2014 TheLifebeyondearth 2014-07-14 | The Chilean government released a report about two high-quality photos it believes could indicate a close encounter.The particular incident under investigation occurred at the remote Collahuasi copper mine in Chile's Atacama Desert back in April 2013, when four technicians working at the mine witnessed a disc-shaped object approach the area slowly, hover for about an hour over the mine before finally heading off to the east.The Committee for the Studies of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (known by its Spanish acronym, CEFAA), is responsible for investigating any unexplained aerial phenomena within Chilean air space.While the witnesses to the eerie phenomenon at first decided to keep the UFO sighting a secret, the photos taken by one of the technicians come to light when the photographer showed the pictures to the chief engineer of the mine who eventually passed the info on to CEFAA.So far the government has been unable to explain what exactly was floating above the mine on that day in April as all metrological phenomena has been ruled out along with any experimental aircraft, planes, weather balloons or anything else that could appear as a floating disc."People in that zone know about drones," said José Lay, international affairs director for the CEFAA. "Fishing companies use drones, and they make a lot of noise. This was definitely not a drone."The disc was believed to be between 16 and 32 feet in diameter and brilliantly colored. Witnesses said that it appeared to be under intelligent control.One problem for the authorities trying to determine what was floating around the skies in northern Chile is that the photographers are unwilling to talk about what they saw."The witnesses were not willing to cooperate," Lay said. "We tried to contact them, and we got no reply. So we treated the material just as we have treated several others of the same or similar nature: We file them for future reference or comparison purposes. That's all we can do in this case."Most experts looking at the photo agree that whatever it is in the sky is not the normal hoax that tends to crop up with UFO conspiracy theorists."This is clearly not a normal thing seen in the sky (bird, plane, cloud, etc.)," retired U.S. Navy physicist Bruce Maccabee told the Huffington Post. "That makes it either the real thing - UFO - or a hoax, and it doesn't appear to be a hoax. Although the inability to question witnesses does reduce the credibility. UFO filmed over Las Vegas April 2014 + MUFON report TheLifebeyondearth 2014-04-28 | UFO filmed over Las Vegas on April 16 2014 by Steven Barone from his home. Steven says "It flew past the back of my house prior to me being able to film it. The object was at least 10 miles away and could be as much as 20 miles away. I don't know of any man made objects that can move that fast" Knowing the estimated distance make this thing pretty big and very fast. UFO sighting, strange lights caught on camera April 15 2014 TheLifebeyondearth 2014-04-20 | Colorful balls of light racing across the night sky are caught on video by a Jefferson County woman. Now she's trying to figure out what she saw. Amber Wysocki captured the video on her cell phone. "I was shocked. Kind of like, what am I seeing? Am I seeing something I didn't know what to think?" she stated.Wysocki was driving south Interstate 55 Friday night when she saw lights in the sky near Pevely. She took out her camera and started shooting. There were white blinking lights followed by two balls of light that were blue. All her life Amber has been a doubter when it came to UFOs and aliens. She said, "I don't find that stuff possible. I'm so skeptical. I guess that's why I reported it. I'd like to know."She contacted the National UFO Reporting Center in Washington State and talked to director Peter Davenport. He said he needs to hear from more people who may have seen what Amber saw. Davenport added, "It's very difficult for me to see anything in the video that is unambiguous and causes us to sit up and take notice of it."John Lakey the director of the Science Center Planetarium agreed there's just no enough information in the video. While, some scientists are certain there is microbial life on another planet in our own solar system, intelligent life somewhere else is still debatable. Lakey said, "That we are the only planet that has evolved intelligent life, I think the odds are against it but the evidence isn't there yet."The UFO center has received thousands of video and photograph over the years but only a handful are really interesting. Mysterious beam of light spotted on the surface of Mars! Alien base? UFO? April 6 2014 TheLifebeyondearth 2014-04-06 | A photograph just released from the Mars Curiosity Rover reveals a strange nearby light that appears artificial. The image was part of a batch just uploaded from the Mars Curiosity Rover that were originally recorded on April 3, 2014 by the Right Navigation Camera. The image with the time stamp of 10:00:34 UTC shows an unusual light on the Martian surface only a mile or so away. The light does not appear to be related to the sun or any natural atmospheric phenomenon such as dust storms that have been known to produce lightning on Mars. The light is too distant to clearly identify but appears to be coming from underground suggesting an artificial light source located beneath the Martian surface.The Curiosity Rover image was uploaded by NASA on April 3, 2014 revealing the strange Martian light. There is no nearby atmospheric activity such as a dust storm that the image or other images in the same batch from the Curiosity Rover reveal. Dust storms can produce lightning as was observed in imagery taken by the Mars Orbiter Camera in June 2006 that was the first confirmation of lightning on Mars.Another possible explanation is underground lightning which happens on Earth due to the rotation of molten metal beneath the Earth's crust which creates rotating electric fields vital for creating a powerful magnetosphere. Mars, however, has no inner crustal dynamo comparable to Earth, and its magnetosphere is a fraction of Earth's. It is therefore unlikely that underground lightning is a naturally occurring phenomenon on Mars. The light emission in the Curiosity Rover image is not likely a result of underground lightning.Another explanation may be lens flare which is caused by a light source just outside of the image field being captured on camera. The most common source of lens flare is the setting or rising sun. However the light in the Curiosity Mars Rover does not appear to be a lens flare caused by the sun given the lack of shadows in the nearby terrain. If the light source was from the Curiosity itself, then that would have been observed in the Mars images.If both dust storm and underground lightning is ruled out, together with lens flare, then it raises the possibility that the light is an emission from some artificial underground source. UFO sighting over Southern Alberta Canada 21 March 2014 TheLifebeyondearth 2014-03-23 | A mother and daughter who live on a ranch just outside of Nanton are scratching their heads after a couple of unidentified flying objects flew over their southern Alberta home late last Sunday night.Sam Martine says she and her daughter were watching TV when they saw two bright lights hovering over a field less than a kilometre away from their home.Martine says when they went out on the porch for a closer look the lights quickly flew towards them, spooking their cattle."Then the light just started coming straight at us and it went straight over our house and headed to the northwest behind us," said Martine. "I've never seen anything like that before."Martine's 14-year-old daughter Baylie tried to take a picture of the objects with her cellphone, but said the camera was acting weird."The picture went completely green and later on that night it ended up deleting itself."Sam Martine was able to get her DSLR camera working, but only got a few photos. They were leaving a department store and exited around 6:30 p.m. to a "weird and ominous" sky."My mom and I took several pictures of the sky and while we began looking through our pictures, I noticed in one of mine that there was something," Skiddle wrote via email. "I had no flash in, nor a filter.""And my mom looked through hers and also saw she had whatever it was in one of hers," she added.Erica described what she and her mom saw in the pictures as looking "...like there are six little lights, in like a hexagon, I don't know, it just looks weird."According to the National UFO Reporting Center, for as long as they have been keeping records, 1,490 UFOs have been reported in the grand state of Old Virginny.A UFO hasn't been reported in the state since February 27, 2014. HELICOPTER CHASES UFO OVER CALIFORNIA MUFON CASE NO. 54345 MARCH 3 2014 HD TheLifebeyondearth 2014-03-04 | Chris Ellsworth of Anaheim Hills took this video of a military helicopter chasing a sphere-shaped UFO at about 7:30 p.m. on February 27, 2014, Case no. 54345 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.This is the fourth witness in 12 days to report a military vehicle chasing a UFO. Case 54101 occurred on February 15, 2014, in Orange County, CA; Case 54167 occurred on February 19, 2014, in Anaheim, CA. And Case 54168 occurred on February 19, 2014, in Anaheim Hills, CA. The last round-up story was Two more California witnesses report military chasing UFOs.In this most recent case, the witness heard a military helicopter about 7:30 p.m."A large, bright, white orb was being followed or escorted by some type of military helicopter," the witness stated. "The path was mostly straight with only the sound of the one helicopter heard. Then both went overhead and continued west."As you can see the witness was able to capture video of both the helicopter and the UFO"The front white glowing orb slowly vanished from view as I caught it all on video. Then the object seemed to have jumped to the right hand side of the sky instantly; being seen glowing in the clouds that are due for rain. Richard Hoffman, Director of the Mutual Unidentified Flying Object Network for both Mississippi and Alabama, said.The Dayton, Ohio, native has been a member of MUFON since the organization was founded in 1969. His travels have taken him all over the country, catalouging and studying alleged UFO sightings.If you think he's kidding, you'd be wrong. In fact, he says just last year they were busily tracking UFO sightings in our area."Alabama, for example, last year had somewhere in the range of about 70 sightings that it reported. Mississippi only had about a half of those reported," Hoffman continued. But one of those reported sightings, he says,has gained prominence throughout the Network and is being featured on the group's website as the Mississippi Pilot Case.Hoffman offers radar images of the Mississippi Pilot Case, which, he says, show an object of some kind following along side a Cessna airplane flown out of Slidell, Louisiana."And, as he's approaching, on his approach headed north, he ends up running across this object that was just underneath his wing of his Cessna, that's how close it was," said Hoffman." What we see here is where his plane was and the object moves away and then does this kind of maneuvering. Eventually it went and made some more turns at 30 miles per hour. Now what flies that fast ,does that kind of banking turn and makes that incredible kind of maneuvering, we don't know," he said.Hoffman says there are as many as 700 sightings reported each month. Multiply that by twelve, and you see why Hoffman and his members are keeping busy.However, he does caution that sometimes things are not always what they seem."Like here's a cloud, a lenticular cloud and we seperate out from the clouds as much as we can you know," he joked as he showed a photo from his personal web site.Others have been other mistakes, he says which turned out to be smudges on a woman's windshield.But despite the mistakes and even downright skepticism of many, Hoffman and MUFON holds fast that there is something out there watching us and we need to know what it is."And that means we have to spend time studying. So this is what happened. I was sat in my garden April 3rd 2013, I looked up and saw a plane, quite high altitude leaving a contrail behind it. Right as i caught sight of it an object flew straight in front of it, from the planes left side to its right i actually looked away before i realized what i had just seen. I instantly looked back and saw the object fly back across from the planes right side to its left and then it began to accelerate on the same course as the plane, west, in my direction. I ran up the garden still looking back keeping an eye on it and called my dad out who was sat talking on the phone. I pulled my phone out and started recording but you couldnt see it on the crappy Phone camera although I do still have the video somewhere. The object flew directly over top of us and my dad caught sight of it also for about 4 seconds. It then turned 180 degrees back on its self to head east, then it turned left to head north. It looked to me as if it was now a rod shape. I then lost sight of it behind some clouds. ASTEROID 2014 AA HITS EARTH JUST HOURS AFTER ITS DISCOVERY!! JANUARY 2ND 2013 HD TheLifebeyondearth 2014-01-03 | While everybody else were ringing in 2014 early Wednesday morning, scientists caught sight of what appeared to be a very small asteroid -- between 2 and 3 meters in size -- on a potential impact trajectory with Earth.The observation was made at the Catalina Sky Survey near Tucson, Arizona. The space rock, designated 2014 AA, may have been the first asteroid discovery of the New Year. If the space object was an asteroid, scientists, using the scant observational data that was available to them, suggest that it probably entered Earth's atmosphere sometime between 2 p.m. EST, Wednesday, Jan. 1 and 9 a.m. EST Thursday, Jan. 2.Three independent projections of the space object's possible orbit were made by Bill Gray, of the Minor Planet Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Steve Chesley from NASA's Near Earth Object Program at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
