CBGames Join me as I check out the Hanafuda mini game, part of Nintendo's Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics, release 5th June 2020 for Nintendo Switch.

In Hanafuda, a traditional Japanese card game, the deck is made up of cards representing the months. In each month are cards of different values. Players match cards from the same month from their hand with one on the table. Matched cards are collected in to categories of different ranking. The lowest rank is chaff, up to the top picture cards representing animals or concepts such as "Cherry Blossom Viewing". When a player completes a category, they can opt to continue playing if they think they can complete more categories. Players should be wary of this, because if the other player completes a category next then they win the round and take all the points, even if they had a worse collection than the other.
