The Cut Concepts of Sonic 3 - Hemmas Studios Hemmas Studios 2025-01-27 | 2024's Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is a wonderful adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2. Expertly blending elements from the game and the existing series continuity to create a heartfelt and cohesive trilogy capper. But a lot can change from concept to screen, and based on Sonic 3's concept art, deleted scenes, and leaked animatic- a lot definitely changed at various points in production.The film considered ideas like a Time-Travel ending that included Dr. Robotnik as an emperor alongside Metal Sonic in Stardust Speedway, and deleted scenes show Dr. Eggman as a live streamer, discussing rizz and doing sponsor reads for energy drinks. The Lost 2002 Version of Toy Story 3: The Whodunnit Drafts - Canned Goods Hemmas Studios 2024-06-24 | Toy Story 3, at one point, would have seen Woody, Buzz, and the gang in the center of a Whodunit Mystery, centered around a silly Sock Monkey.In 2002, Disney enlisted Cheri and Bill Steinkellner to write a Toy Story movie, without Pixar's involvement. The hope was for Disney to use this as a bargaining chip against Pixar, who they were soon sitting down to negotiate with. Cheri and Bill's script came, went, and disappeared.Years later, they would come to learn that their script was rewritten as a part of Disney's Circle 7 Animation, their studio designed to make sequels to Pixar movies. But as far as rewrites go- it only retains the most basic of story elements.Cheri and Bill were gracious enough to sit down with me for an interview where they discussed the movie, how they came onto the project, and how they learned of the project's resurrection. The Best Toy Story Sequel Never Made: The Blended Family Draft of Toy Story 3 - Canned Goods Hemmas Studios 2022-12-05 | Toy Story 3, at one point, would have seen Andy’s Mom get remarried, Woody, Buzz, and Jessie getting lost in Mexico, and the gang meeting a Spanish Buzz leading a civilization of knockoff toys.In 2004, Disney and Pixar were at war. In 2005, it all fell apart. In retaliation to Pixar, Disney’s at the time CEO, Michael Eisner, opened up Circle 7 Animation. Their goal was simple- make sequels to Pixar movies.They had 3 initial sequels lined up. Toy Story 3, Monsters Inc 2: Lost in Scaradise, and Finding Nemo 2.Toy Story 3 is the most infamous of these- being the only sequel that went into full production, but before writing that version of the movie, Jim Herzfeld, one of the film’s writers, was hired by Disney to write an entirely different version of the movie. The Werewolf By Night Movie You’ll Never See - Canned Goods Hemmas Studios 2022-10-07 | In 2001, Werewolf by Night almost became a movie, but it wasn’t meant to be.Dimension Films had announced its intention to make films of three marvel properties- Ghost Rider, Cloak and Dagger, and Werewolf By Night. Through rounds of rewrites and revisions, Robert Nelson Jacobs eventually turned in a Werewolf By Night script in early 2004.This script ignores essentially all of the established lore of the title character and the larger Marvel Comics Universe. Jack Russell is nowhere to be seen, instead being replaced by a character named Jake Lightman. In fact, the only prominent Marvel anything in this script is the character of Isaiah Curwen- albeit in a totally different form than in the source material. The Canceled James Cameron Spider-Man Movie: The Amazing Spider-Man - Canned Goods Hemmas Studios 2021-12-19 | In 1990, Spider-Man found its movie rights at Carolco Pictures, and soon found itself in the hands of James Cameron, fresh off of Terminator 2. Cameron’s take on Spidey was set to be a dark and gritty retelling of his origin, with him fighting Electro and The Sandman as his first villains. Casting rumors swirled that tied Leonardo DiCaprio and Arnold Schwarzenegger to the project, though the project never actually got far enough to cast anybody. Peter Jackson’s Halo: The Best Video Game Movie Never Made - Canned Goods Hemmas Studios 2021-12-02 | In 2004, Halo almost became a movie.Bungie and Microsoft teamed up with Hollywood to bring the story of Master Chief, Cortana, and the Covenant to the big screen, with the help of Producer Peter Schlessel. Despite their best efforts and an extremely promising development, warring studios and massive egos led to the movie's cancellation.The movie was set to be a co-production between 20th Century Fox and Universal Pictures. Alex Garland, best known for 28 Days Later, wrote the excellent initial pitch. Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, the minds behind The Lord of the Rings trilogy, were executive producers on the film. To direct, the film initially tapped Guillermo del Toro, before settling on a pre- District 9 Neill Blomkamp. In 2005, it all fell apart. In retaliation to Pixar, Disney’s at the time CEO, Michael Eisner, opened up Circle 7 Animation. Their goal was simple, make sequels to Pixar movies.They had 3 initial sequels lined up. Toy Story 3, Monsters Inc 2: Lost in Scaradise, and Finding Nemo 2. Lost in Scaradise is the only one of these movies where the plot was unknown to the public- until now. Rob Muir, one of the cancelled film's screenwriter was gracious enough to sit down with me for an interview where we discussed the movie, and I can't thank him enough. The 4 years between Toy Story 2's conception and release saw the movie change from a direct to video sequel, inspired by the success of Aladdin 2: Return of Jafar, to a fully fleshed out animated feature.This original direct to video sequel was similar to the final release, though, with some major differences. Bullseye could talk (and was voiced by Martin Short), Utility Belt Buzz Lightyear and Zurg were only in a single scene, and Jessie wasn't present, in her place was a talking cactus aptly named Señorita Cactus.
