The NYXI Hyperion 3 ULTRA for Nintendo Switch 2 has officially arrived, and in this video I’m giving you an exclusive first look! After spending a little hands-on time with NYXI’s brand-new premium Joy-Con alternative, I’m sharing my first impressions, showcasing everything included in the box, and highlighting all of the new features that make the Hyperion 3 ULTRA one of the most exciting Nintendo Switch 2 controllers released so far.
Building upon the already excellent Hyperion 3, the new Hyperion 3 ULTRA introduces several major upgrades. It now features incredibly smooth TMR thumbsticks with glide rings, a premium metal D-pad, NFC support for Amiibo compatibility, HD Rumble 2, Mouse Mode, redesigned styling, improved packaging, and the same comfortable ergonomic shape that made the original Hyperion 3 one of my favorite Joy-Con alternatives.
While this isn’t my full review just yet, you’ll get a great idea of what to expect from NYXI’s newest flagship controller.
Over the coming weeks I’ll be putting the Hyperion 3 ULTRA through extensive testing, including battery life, comfort during long gaming sessions, TMR stick performance, NFC functionality, HD Rumble 2 implementation, Mouse Mode support, latency testing, build quality, and much more. I’ll also compare it against other popular Nintendo Switch 2 controllers like the Mobapad M12, the original Hyperion 3, and Nintendo’s official Joy-Con.
