On Sunday morning, July 21st, the National Space Society Chapters’ Assembly conducted a world-wide virtual hookup and celebration of Apollo 11’s 50th anniversary. The celebration was conducted using the webinar format of the virtual meeting software “Zoom”. A video was made of the celebration’s presentations, which were viewed live by more than a dozen National Space Society chapters and their members from California to India.

Part 1: Introduction by Joseph Bland, NSS Chapters’ Assembly Chair, and Larry Ahearn, NSS Vice President of Chapters.
Part 2: Presentation by Congressman Ami Bera, Vice-Chair of the US House Committee on Space, Science, and Technology.
Part 3: Presentation by Ron Johnson, NSS Region 4 Director and author of 116th Congress House Joint Resolution 59. (H. J. Res. 59 expresses support for designating July 20th as “National Space Exploration Day” to commemorate the anniversary of mankind first setting foot on the Moon.)
Part 4: Presentation by Peter Kokh, President Emeritus, The Moon Society and author of “Moon Miners’ Manifesto” and “A Pioneer’s Guide to Living on the Moon”.
Part 5: Presentation by Stevan Akerley, Director, NSS Space Ambassador’s Program.
Part 6: Presentation by Dr. Betty D. Walker, President and Co-Founder of A-MAN, Inc. Stem International Science Center.
Part 7: Presentation by Avinash Shirode, President and Founder, Nashik, India NSS Chapter.
Part 8: Presentation by Professor Hal Walker, Principal Operator, Apollo 11 Lunar Laser Ranging Experiment.
