This video will focus on DFU over Bluetooth Low Energy, also known as FOTA over Bluetooth LE. In the previous five videos, we programmed the SoC on our board using the on-board debugger available on the development kit using a USB wire. This method is suitable for the development phase of your project. However, for actual products, this method is not quite feasible. Instead, you want to have a way to securely update your firmware wirelessly, and that's what we will cover in this video.

We will see how easy the nRF Connect SDK can make adding FOTA to a Bluetooth LE application.

In this developer-oriented, hands-on video series, we will help you get started quickly with application development in nRF Connect SDK. nRF Connect SDK is a comprehensive, modular, and scalable software development kit for building IoT applications. Throughout the series, we will build a Bluetooth LE application step by step, starting with adding both simulated and real sensors and retrieving their data wirelessly through Bluetooth LE. We will then dive into topics such as storing data permanently on non-volatile memory, power optimization, PPK2, and finally, how to add FOTA (DFU) over Bluetooth LE.
