Instead, not only are they now pirate weredogs but there's two extra crewmates, one of which is not a weredog exactly but rather a weredingo. And Claw-Z has been renamed Bone-Z to fit the theme better. Originally the plan was to simply add two new werecat crewmates but I thought it would be better like this since I have a lot of cat-themed villains in WereForce. Besides, now I can officially name the group and make it a pun. This ended up being my second largest speedpaint project, the first one having been doing all of the TF2 characters... which I've since considered to be quite blah to be honest. Wanted to branch out a bit more.I had an earlier sketch of this set up a couple weeks ago but I didn't like it, so I ended up redoing it and honestly I'm glad I did. It came out much better here in my opinion.You know the Scream Fortress 2014 event that introduced a costume for Medic called Canis Ex Machina? Well I really wanted to draw it, in a way that depicts him as a werewolf/weredog (whichever one he is is quite open to interpretation). It's a pretty popular idea and I can see why - it's really fucking awesome! I just wish the hundkopf didn't cost like 200 bucks, I am not paying that much for a cosmetic. Basically the dude that once had RED Soldier as a roommate before kicking him out for being annoying, only to then get evicted out of his own castle when Soldier came back and turned it into a raccoon sanctuary. So now every October he messes with the mercenaries of Teufort for an event called Scream Fortress 2, and as a character he's pretty kick-ass I must say. Yeah yeah, I know, Sniper mains get a lotta flack because classic matches tend to have a lot of them. Won't stop me from being a Sniper main though, the dude's really cool. He's just got that kind of vibe to him. Aussie assassins aren't very common, and this guy's the poster boy for 'em! He's got that sort of wild nature in him, he alternates between being calm as his job requires and being entertainingly crass depending on the situation, and he's got a fancy hat and shades. Also with jarate, you can not only throw piss at others but also combine it with the Sydney Sleeper and shoot it into enemies too. (Disclaimer: I am confident in my ability to click on heads, thank you very much. I just find shooting people with piss to be real fun in the game so I use a gun that lets me do that.)I mean c'mon, what isn't fun about a game that lets you play as some bloke that weaponizes his fetish and then stabs his affected enemies? If you ask me, that is top tier entertainment. No wonder Classic matches are full of Snipers. Even though he's usually seen as more of a bonus stage to other players and isn't the easiest to play effectively as, it's still fun and the character is great.As for that one song that only plays for a little over a minute in the end of the speedpaint, well... c'mon. Jarate. And I'm sure I'm not even close to the only person that's compared Sniper to Bear Grylls. I mean, both are survivalists and piss became a meme with them both. As for the context of the song, well let's just be real here, he probably does. Plus the sheer irony of his character, considering that most medics/healers in any form of media tend to be portrayed as all-loving and kind-hearted. Instead, here we have a mad doctor that actually comes from a lineage of other mad doctors too.In conclusion, Medic kicks ass, even if he usually doesn't on the battlefield. It was actually because I had lost access to the program I use to record (Screencast-O-Matic upgraded) thanks to getting a new computer. But here I am, with not just one new speedpaint ready, but NINE! Yep that's right, I individually speedpainted each of the Team Fortress 2 mercs for a big comeback. I was originally going to put them all together into one video, but some ended up being kind of long by speedpaint standards so I decided to just put them up individually. Obviously this is not gonna be the best of quality for an animated video, but it's my first one and I'm quite proud of the result.
