The North American F-82 Twin Mustang, earlier designated the P-82, was designed as a very-long-range escort fighter. It was designed during World War 2, but did not enter service until later. It also served in the interceptor role.

The F-82 Twin Mustang had two P-51H fuselages, and that were joined by a center wing-section.
