In order to celebrate the spookiness of Halloween, my friend Ghazal and I head to Governors Island after dark to walk the Trail of Jack O' Lanterns. Along the trail is hundreds of expertly carved pumpkins, depicting movie and television characters, singers and musicians, and well known New York landmarks. To help you get in the mood even further, the path is lit in a creepy red, orange light and spooky Halloween music plays.
