His ambitious plan was to film individuals in every country of the world answering the question of what they saw for the future. I loved the concept and what I saw - which inspired a bit of music.
It took him ten years, but he finished the film. RESPECT!
Now hitting the festival circuit, Matthew's hard work is being enjoyed by audiences around the world and the film has earned a number of accolades, including, (I just learned) the award for Best Documentary Score at The Golden State Film Festival.

It only took 10 years for me to finally hear the score as I had originally intended with full orchestra and choir. It is a pleasure to share it here.

If you are a Zelda fan, you may have seen Irish composer and conductor Eimear Noone* while she toured the world, bringing Koji Kondo's themes to hundreds of thousands of fans.

You also may have seen Eimear conducting on the 25th Anniversary 3DS orchestra videos.

With Zelda being such an important presence in her musical life, Eimear always felt a deep connection to this music.

But in one special moment during the event she created, The Dublin International Game Music Festival (iDIG Music Fest), the reason for that magical connection became crystal clear.

Those who attended the 2015 Dublin iDIG Music Fest experienced this magic when the DIT Irish Traditional Music Ensemble took the stage - putting their uniquely Irish twist to our favorite game music themes; especially "The Legend of Zelda." About Eimear Noone:

Eimear Noone, called “The Irish Queen of Games Music” by The Irish Independent, is arguably the world's current premier conductor of video game scores (both in the studio and in the concert hall). As the principle conductor for Blizzard Games (World of WarCraft) and a first call for sessions at Skywalker Ranch, her credits include the most respected productions in the genre.

In addition to World of WarCraft, (for which she also composes) her credits include Heroes of The Storm, StarCraft II, Diablo III, Reaper of Souls, Hearthstone, Overwatch and many, many, more.

The game music she conducts has unparalleled reach in the orchestral world. Diablo III, as one example, smashed the record in game sales by selling over 3.5 million copies in the first 24 hours alone. Dear Friends, Family and Worldwide Musical Family,

Thank you for your support in a project that means so much to Craig & I.

Through working on World of Warcraft under the nurturing stewardship of Russell Brower and my colleagues at Blizzard Entertainment, I was afforded an opportunity to honor our son Aaron Padraic through music.

In 2012 we lost our beautiful boy, two weeks before he was due to enter this magical world.

This piece from WoW: Warlords of Draenor features Aaron's theme and is influenced not just by the incredible artists at Blizzard, but also by Aaron's timeless Jewish heritage and the story of Masada. It is the epic adventure he might have had, told through a mother's lullaby.

My husband Craig produced an incredible worldwide YouTube orchestra of generous souls who gave their time and talent to be part of this project.

At Video Games Live in Dublin during the first iDIG Music Fest, we performed the piece live with the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland and members of Maynooth Chamber Choir. There were over 130 musicians and singers onstage.

My beautiful friend Malukah de los Santos is the star of the piece and her voice haunts me every time I hear it.

Eimear Noone 2017-04-27 | Since first created, Malach has now been seen by millions. A fitting tribute. A big thanks to Tommy Tallarico and Video Games Live for making this happen.

In honor of what would have been his 5th birthday, we decided to edit together some of the best performances of Malach into a new version of the video.

Dear Friends, Family and Worldwide Musical Family,

Thank you for your support in a project that means so much to Craig and I.

Through working on World of Warcraft under the nurturing stewardship of Russell Brower and my colleagues at Blizzard Entertainment, I was afforded an opportunity to honor our son Aaron Padraic through music.

In 2012 we lost our beautiful boy, two weeks before he was due to enter this magical world.

This piece from WoW: Warlords of Draenor features Aaron's theme and is influenced not just by the incredible artists at Blizzard, but also by Aaron's timeless Jewish heritage and the story of Masada. It is the epic adventure he might have had, told through a mother's lullaby.

My husband Craig produced an incredible worldwide YouTube orchestra of generous souls who gave their time and talent to be part of this project.

At Video Games Live in Dublin during the first iDIG Music Fest, we performed the piece live with the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland and members of Maynooth Chamber Choir. There were over 130 musicians and singers onstage.

My beautiful friend Malukah de los Santos is the star of the piece and her voice haunts me every time I hear it.

Thank you Roma Downey for making me read The Dove Keepers and inspiring me.

For the very first time, the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra proudly presents Video Games Classic, a concert of major video game soundtracks and classical music hits featuring the award-winning LA-based Irish video games music composer and conductor Eimear Noone, a choir of massed voices and singers Sibéal Ní Chasaide and Sarah Shine.

The massive orchestral scores of World of Warcraft, Resident Evil, Skyrim, Final Fantasy, Advent Rising and Tetris all feature as do blockbuster classical numbers from The Planets, Mozart’s Requiem, The Firebird and Carmina Burana.

Sibéal Ní Chasaide joins for Malach, Angel Messenger. Originally created for the World of Warcraft Expansion, Warlords of Draenor, the extended work Malach has become a fan favourite, garnering millions of YouTube views in its various incarnations. Soprano Sarah Shine joins for the video game classic, Tetris Opera and Advent Rising

Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man and classical hits by Debussy, Mussorgsky and Beethoven as featured in The Evil Within and Kingdom Hearts will make this a night to remember.

Arguably the world's current premier conductor of video game scores, both in the studio and in the concert hall, Eimear Noone’s broad range of credits include major games such as Heroes of The Storm, StarCraft II, Metal Gear Solid, Hearthstone, Overwatch and the BAFTA nominated score to Diablo III.

About a week ago, we finished the mix and mastering for this track - a collaboration between the Celtic Link Team and Tommy Tallarico of Video Games Live. The complete track (5:30) will appear on both the VGL Level 5 CD and our Celtic Link CD. It features over 150 musicians and singers. For this arrangement, Eimear Noone and Craig Stuart Garfinkle set out to create a new medley of their favorite Zelda Themes, combining the DIT Traditional Irish Music Ensemble with a symphony orchestra. A big thanks to Tommy for making this happen!

As Eimear states, this arrangement tells a specific story, an "Hylian Fantasy." She continues.

One of the big surprises at last year's iDIG Music Festival was the DIT Ensemble's performance of music from the Legend of Zelda, among others. It simply ruled! It spawned our successfull Kickstarter Campaign and we are rushing to get the CD ready for release. More on that here:
