January is the month where all horror movie releases go to die. And it seems as though The Grudge (2020), the soft reboot of the already-remade Japanese horror hit "Ju-on", is getting some pretty rotten tomatoes from critics and audiences alike.
But is all the hate really that deserved? As someone who has never been the biggest fan of The Grudge series, allow me to give you my quick take on this entry in the franchise. Weighing out a few pros and cons, and answering the important question of "Why bad horror movies ARE necessary".
